OVERVIEW

For a decade, Grady Jarrett has stood as a cornerstone of the Atlanta Falcons. Hailing from Conyers, Georgia, he’s the epitome of what it means to be a Falcon. But after a devastating knee injury in 2023 cut his season short, the veteran defensive tackle faced the grueling challenge of rehab to just get back on the field for his 10th season. With every step of his recovery, Jarrett reflects on the defining moments that have shaped his journey and what leaving a legacy in Atlanta truly means to him.

With unwavering strength and a heart dedicated to giving back to the community that raised him, the Falcons' 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year has become a role model for all who cross his path. To offer a glimpse into the journey of his year-long rehab and determination to return to the field, the Falcons' in-house video production team, editorial staff, and photographers followed Jarrett every step of the way, capturing the moments that not only rebuilt his body but reinforced his legacy.

Through a large team effort, the final results of this project touched several mediums ranging from three feature articles, bite-size social media content, a longform video, app experience and photo galleries.

GRADY JARRETT

"There's probably nobody on the team that works harder than him. There's probably nobody on the team that's a better role model in every aspect that we ask our Falcons to be, not just on the field but off the field, too. ... He's one of these folks you spend time with during your life and you never forget him."
