UPCOMING CLASSES
Meet Canti & Chappy!
Canti & Chappy are a bonded pair of chihuahuas rescued from Orange County Animal Shelter who are ready to find a loving home together. Canti is a 3-year-old neutered male brown and white chihuahua, and Chappy is an 8-year-old neutered male tan and white chihuahua. These two lovely gents enjoy spending their days cuddled up next to each other and occasionally chewing on a bone. They would do best in a quiet home, preferably with no children and no cats, where they can relax and keep each other company. Because they are a bonded pair, they must be adopted together. Come meet Canti & Chappy and see if they’re the perfect duo for you!
The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter adoption procedures are designed to make sure that both the potential family and the animal adopted are in the very best situation possible. The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter is located at 20612 Laguna Canyon Road. For any questions, please call (949) 497-3552.
The City Hosted CalRecycle’s Local Assistance and Market Development Branch and California Climate Action Corps Fellows as Part of Its Annual Site Visit
The visit provided an opportunity for CalRecycle to observe local implementation of Senate Bill 1383 requirements and for the City to highlight successful partnerships and compliance efforts within the community.
This year’s site visit focused on commercial businesses and multifamily properties. The Ranch at Laguna Beach was recognized for its sustainability efforts, including diverting food scraps from the landfill and supporting edible food recovery programs as a Tier II commercial edible food generator. The Taco Stand was highlighted for its back-of-house organics recycling practices, and Arch Street Apartments was recognized for its compliance with SB 1383 requirements as a multifamily property.
A special thank you to Ryan Goldsmith, Lead Farmer at The Ranch at Laguna Beach; RJ Bear, Assistant General Manager at The Ranch at Laguna Beach; and Hector Soria, Assistant Manager at The Taco Stand, for hosting the visit and sharing their continued efforts. Their participation highlighted the value of local partnership in supporting the City’s sustainability goals and compliance with state requirements.
