Is there somewhere you think would be interesting to explore? Send your ideas to Siggy! Walk and Roll is currently scheduled for once a month while the weather is nice, but we can expand if there is enough interest and attendance. Let’s connect and get outside together!

Patty's Coupon Corner
Did you know some vitamins might be available to you at no cost?
Patty recently discovered that common supplements like vitamin D, multivitamins, biotin, and vitamin E may be fully covered by Medicare or Medicaid—with a prescription from your doctor. That means you might not have to pay out of pocket at all!
Talk to your healthcare provider to see if this applies to you!
Member's Corner will still be a space to share your creative work, too! Connect with Shane to be published: sskinner@maybellecenter.org
You Belong Here: A Conversation about Gender & Belonging
Tues, July 29th, 3 PM
Community Room
Join Shane and Anastasio for a rescheduled guided conversation about gender, gender expression, and supporting all of our Members to feel safe and celebrated.
We’ve heard from some of our Members that there have been moments when questions or comments—even when well-intentioned—have made them feel uncomfortable or unseen. This gathering is a chance for us to learn from one another, ask questions in a respectful space, and deepen our understanding of how gender shapes our experiences. Whether you are transgender, cisgender, nonbinary, questioning, or simply curious to learn more, please join us!
Portland Pride Waterfront Festival

This year, Maybelle Center is thrilled to be part of the Portland’s Pride Festival in a brand-new way—we’ll have our very own booth! After two wonderful years of marching in the parade, we’re excited to try something different that allows us to connect more deeply with the community.
Stop by our booth and say hello! We are looking forward to celebrating Pride with purpose, connection, and joy.
Member's Corner: Volunteer Feature!
A poem by Maybelle Center volunteer, Richard Wilde:
A Little Church
A little church on Cottage Street,
I'd always walked on by,
it wasn't my denomination—
in my thoughtful hesitation,
I just kept on walking by.
It's funny how we doubt the things
that seem to draw us near,
but we reason with confusion,
so the image isn't clear.
To many seems a trifle
that old buildings such as these
could cause a man to wonder,
even bring him to his knees.
No such mystique, The Mega Church,
where some each Sunday trod,
a space so full, yet empty,
and much scarier than God.
That little Church on Cottage Street
I'd always left behind,
I've given it a second thought
(it's never left my mind)—
I promise if it's Sunday
and I pass that way once more,
I'll stop and pay a visit
and I'll open up that door.
