Covid-19 Recovery Programme 2022-23 Covid-19 ‘Catch up’ funding at Moorlands Primary School

What is Covid Catch Up funding?

The DfE has allocated £650 million nationally to be spent on ensuring all pupils have the chance to catch up and supporting schools to enable them to do so. Whilst head teachers will decide how the money is spent, the Education Endowment Foundation has published guidance on effective interventions which may be used to support schools. For pupils with complex needs, schools should spend this funding on catch-up support to address their individual needs. Schools’ allocations will be calculated on a per pupil basis, providing each mainstream school with a total of £80 for each pupil.

• Gaps in learning from difficulty in accessing online learning during school closure due to COVID-19

• Gaps in learning due to school closure i.e. curriculum content not taught
