Tossed-to-Order Southwest Chipotle Chicken Salad
Our tossed-to-order salad specials have quickly become a big hit amongst the Salve community, and our first popup was no exception!
Guests were able to order a custom Southwest Chipotle Chicken Salad at the Salad Bar on Tuesday, September 19 during Lunch and Dinner.
Mix-in's and toppings included lettuce, chipotle chicken, cheddar cheese, scallions, black bean corn jicama salad, fried tortilla shells, and a creamy poblano avocado dressing.
Build Your Own Cinnamon Rolls
What beats a warm, soft cinnamon roll in the morning? A warm, soft cinnamon bun with all of your favorite toppings! We invited guests to join us at Mongolian Grill on Wednesday, September 20 for Breakfast to put together their very own cinnamon roll loaded with their favorite toppings.
We couldn't help but make a few cinnamon rolls ourselves. We topped our treats with cream cheese icing, M&M's, chocolate chips, and sweet strawberries and couldn't get enough!
Custom Breakfast Burrito Bar
Everybody loves a morning special with Breakfast Cook, Jonny! Our Breakfast Burrito Mongolian Grill takeover took place on Wednesday, September 27 for Breakfast. Students could choose their favorite fillings and toppings to have a hearty, delicious custom-rolled burrito.
With so many options, it was tough to make the perfect breakfast burrito! Our show plate featured a breakfast burrito stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheddar and monterey jack cheese, bacon, sausage, crispy potatoes, and a dash of Tobasco sauce to spice things up.
Vegan scrambled eggs and vegan sausage patties were available so that plant-based students could enjoy the special as well!
Popcorn Chicken Mashed Potato Bowl
Inspired by Kentucky Fried Chicken, this Seahawk favorite popup features creamy mashed potatoes, crispy popcorn chicken, and all of your favorite toppings to make it your own.
Students and staff alike were extremely excited to stop by and build their own Popcorn Chicken Bowl. The real stars of the show were the crispy frizzled onions and bacon bits! This savory, cheesy treat hit the spot after a long week on a chilly Friday evening.
Eat Like A Local Day
On September 20th we hosted our first Eat Like a Local Day! Eat Like a Local is a part of our Rhode To Impact initiative where we are committed to purchasing locally sourced ingredients from the New England market. We featured fresh produce from Providence, RI, Lincoln, RI, North Scituate, RI, and Devens, MA at our locally sourced Grill special.
Ingredients included hand-pressed burgers, toasted buns from Calise, fresh mozzarella cheese from Narragansett Creamery, local green leaf lettuce from Little Leaf Farms, and Hand Cut Fries, Tomatoes, and other produce from Confreda Farms.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the Rhode to Impact and Local menu item logos on daily menu screens to find the best local options around Miley Café.
Fall 2023 Sweepstakes
Better Together, Get-Together Sweepstakes
Every semester Sodexo at Salve Regina Dining runs a national sweepstakes to raise awareness about food insecurity and encourage students to give back.
This semester is Better Together, Get-Together, which is running from August 28th to November 20th. At the end, seventeen students will be selected as national winners and will receive a $575 Visa® gift card to host a Better Together Get-Together with old friends and new. Winners will also select a food-related charity of their choice to receive a $500 donation to help those in need.

Meet the Dietitian
Maeve Guidera MBA, RDN, LDN
Registered Dietitian Maeve has a passion for leading a healthy lifestyle and empowering people of all ages to reach their healthiest potential through food and nutrition. She is a great resource to help others become comfortable in their new dining environment, navigate dietary restrictions and challenge their taste buds with new foods and flavors!
Maeve is responsible for the Simple Zone campus pantry free of peanuts, tree nuts, and wheat. Maeve also serves as a valuable resource for students looking for mindful options in Miley Café as well as students looking for nutrition counseling, dietary accommodations for allergies, sensitivities, and more.

In addition to our Social Media presence, we have started creating weekly newsletters featuring upcoming events and popups, retail offerings, holidays, and the new UCook recipe of the week takeovers on Thursdays and Fridays. We are partnering with the Salve Student Government Association to assist in getting the information out on other social channels and to on-campus residents via email communication.
