Lifehacks: Interview Edition By: Kevin Zhao

An interview will happen sometimes in your life: the most common practice in a professional world, whether it's for a job interview, or anything important in your life. As a person who's been the interviewee, and interviewer, here are three hacks I used that can also ensure your success.

#1: JUDGED YOUR COVER

Upon entering the room where you meet your interviewer, you will be judged on your appearance, attitude, and what they know beforehand. Dress appropriately, have and have a good attitude!

Rating: 8/10, this is the thing that employers look at at first glance, they filter out people who aren't fit for the job first, and so they get a general idea of who you are!

#2: WHAT DO YOU KNOW?

The most important part about an interview is your Sixth Sense: the ability to know about everything before you walk into that room. There is a way to develop that Sixth Sense, and it is called research! Try to learn about the place you're going to be interviewed, the person whos's interviewing you, and any relevant information.

Rating: 9/10, it is best you know some stuff beforehand, what the company histories are, their motto, and general direction. Facing yourself with the same direction the company is leads you to more likely being hired!

#3: PRACTICE WITH OTHERS

Hard work prevails more than talent. Attempt practice in your free time. Look at yourself in the mirror, talk to yourself; Think of questions your interviewer could ask you, try to think outside of the box, and remember, practice pushes you one step closer to your goals.

Rating: 10/10, this hack gives you experience rather than just learning about techniques on YouTube, you learn about the other person's body language and gestures, and get a feel of the flow of how the interview is going!
