  • But now...the countdown is on...finals begin shortly and soon we’ll be welcoming our candidates for Fall Graduation to the Sames Auto Arena stage for Commencement ceremonies Dec. 12th...pace yourselves!
  • To help you do so, see our Final Exam Schedule and extended Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library hours for that extra study time. Tuesday will be your last class day!
  • Don’t forget good nutrition can fuel your exam success. Why not join us for our traditional Late-Night Breakfast for currently enrolled students beginning at 8 p.m. this Tuesday in the Killam Library Colonnade?
  • Are you looking for some seasonal good cheer for friends and family? Join us for the annual Guitarras de Navidad Concert Tuesday with the TAMIU Classical Guitar Ensemble and the TAMIU Choir Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. at the CFPA. It’s FREE and open to all.
  • Candidates for graduation, learn about our special Commencement Speaker for the Fall Commencement Ceremonies, award-winning author, chef, and TV host Pati Jinich.

Wintermester and Spring 2025 Registration Continues

Registration for Wintermester 2025 and Spring 2025 continues through Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Guitarras De Navidad Strums in the Holiday Season

This holiday season, the sound of classical guitars will once again delight audiences as TAMIU readies for its 23rd annual “Guitarras de Navidad” Concert performance, happening Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall.

Admission is free and open to the community.

Late Night Breakfast Set for Tuesday, Dec. 3

Don’t miss our annual Late Night Breakfast happening this Tuesday! Breakfast is available while supplies last to currently registered students only.

Annual Congrats Grads Campaign Now Underway

Our annual social media campaign, Congrats Grads, is now underway! If you’re a Fall 2024 Grad and would like to be featured in our upcoming campaign or hope to congratulate a graduating student, visit go.tamiu.edu/congratsgrads to make your submission. #TAMIUGrad #GradsGoBeyond

Top photos will be used on social media and will be included in our pre-Commencement display at the Sames Auto Arena.

TAMIU Sets Fall Commencement Ceremonies; Pati Jinich to Provide Commencement Address

TAMIU will honor its candidates for graduation at Fall Commencement Ceremonies Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at the Sames Auto Arena. Ceremonies are open to the public and free of charge.

The 11 a.m. ceremony will feature undergraduate and graduate candidates for degrees from the College of Arts and Sciences and University College.

The 4 p.m. ceremony will include candidates for undergraduate and graduate degrees from the A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, the College of Education, and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Providing the Commencement Address for the Fall candidates will be award-winning author, chef, and TV host Pati Jinich. Born and raised in Mexico City, Jinich is the host and executive producer of the James Beard Award-winning PBS Primetime docuseries La Frontera, which shares untold stories from the U.S.-México border, the long-running four-time Emmy-nominated PBS daytime show Pati’s Mexican Table now on its 13th season, where she brings flavors from around México into American homes, and a new PBS Primetime series premiering Spring 2025.
