- Team Titles: 7 (2017-23)
Assuming leadership as the first-year head coach, John Bodden steps into the helm of a program boasting an illustrious record, having clinched the last seven Landmark Men's Swimming & Diving Championships.
Despite its storied legacy and past triumphs, the Cardinals find themselves predicted to secure the runner-up position in the championship poll, garnering 71 points, a mere 10 points shy of the favored Drew University.
Luckily for the Cardinals, the team welcomes back the reigning Swimmer of the Year, Nathan Ober, and Diver of the Year, Charles Connolly III. Ober garnered three individual victories and two NCAA B Cuts at least year's meet. Additionally, the return of Jack Hicks, who secured the runner-up positions in both the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events, adds further strength to their roster.
Drew University
- Head Coach: Rich Munson (9th Season)
- Team Titles: 0
The Drew Rangers are determined to make a splash at this year's Landmark Conference Championships. This season, Drew achieved their first-ever undefeated dual-meet record, showcasing remarkable performances across the board. Notably, the Rangers soared to a top-26 ranking among Division III leaders in all five swim relays.
Heading into the 2024 Championships, the Rangers boast increased depth, spearheaded by former Swimmer and Rookie of the Year, Hayden Koh. Koh's exceptional talent is showcased by his impressive rankings, currently sitting at 15th in the 100-butterfly (48.37) and 16th in the 200-butterfly (1:49.25). Additionally, the team's strength is further fortified by the contributions of freshman Nicholas Heinio-Widell, who has already set nine school records and currently ranks 16th in the 50-freestyle (20.42) and 20th in the 100-freestyle (45.20).
Finn Armitt, Brendan Burkett, and CJ Talerico return after playing integral roles in every Ranger relay team's success last year, securing top positions in the 200-free, 200-medley, and 400-medley, and achieving second place in the 400-free and 800-free relays.
Elizabethtown College
- Head Coach: Jess Lane (1st Season)
- Team Titles: 0
In the 2023-24 season, long-time assistant coach Jess Lane assumed the head role at Elizabethtown, taking charge of a program that has demonstrated consistent improvement at the championships year after year. At the 2023 championship meet, the Blue Jays shattered three program records, marking significant milestones in their progress. Moreover, Leif Hoffman's outstanding performance earned him the prestigious title of conference Rookie of the Year, a notable achievement for the program since its inception in the league back in 2014.
Hoffman's remarkable talents were on full display as he clinched the top spot in the 1,650 freestyle event last year. Presently, he boasts the fourth-best time in the Landmark this season. Additionally, Hoffman's stellar performance earned him a runner-up position in the 500-freestyle in 2023, further solidifying his status as a strong competitor, currently ranking eighth in the league this season.
Goucher College
- Head Coach: Tom Till (26th Season)
- Team Titles: 0
Although the Goucher College men's swimming program may lack the depth seen in some of its counterparts, head coach Tom Till has diligently prepared his roster for competition.
Notably, sophomore Ben Graff shines as a standout performer, boasting the 17th-best time in the 200-backstroke event this season. Graff's impressive skill set positions him as a contender in the event, with the potential to secure a spot as an evening finalist, where only the top 16 competitors vie for victory.
Juniata College
- Head Coach: Kyle Russell (1st Season)
- Team Titles: 0
The Juniata College men's swimming program boasts a wealth of young talent under the guidance of first-year head coach Kyle Russell. With just two sophomores and one freshman on the roster, the team represents a promising blend of emerging athletes.
The Eagles made a strong statement earlier this season by clinching their first victory, a commanding 71-35 triumph against Moravian University. This early success underscores the team's potential and sets a positive tone for their ongoing journey under Coach Russell's leadership.
Lycoming College
- Head Coach: Andrew Dragunas (4th Season)
- Team Titles: 0
The Lycoming men's swimming and diving team enters their inaugural appearance at the Landmark Conference Championships.
Drew Degnan and Eliot Keith stand out as beacons of promise within the Warriors' lineup.
Degnan, a freestyle and butterfly specialist, is anticipated to make a significant impact at the championships. As a first-year athlete, he has demonstrated steady improvement in his event times throughout the season. Keith, garnering two-time recognition as Landmark Athlete of the Week, Keith currently holds impressive rankings, sitting at 12th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 13th in the 200-yard breaststroke. Given that the championship advances the top 16 into finals, Keith is poised as a contender for qualification.
Moravian University
- Head Coach: Matt Easterday (1st Season)
- Team Titles: 0
Harrison Ziegler stands as the sole Greyhound on the roster under the guidance of first-year head coach Matt Easterday.
Despite the youth of both the team, in just their third year as a varsity program, and Ziegler himself, only in his second season with the Greyhounds, he emerges as a compelling contender to secure points for Moravian in the upcoming competition. The junior showcases his prowess with the 15th-best 1,650-freestyle time, clocking in at an impressive 18:23.49.
University of Scranton
- Head Coach: Chris Brown (5th Season)
- Men's Team Titles: 0
Two sophomores, Jimmy O'Malley and Mike Finley, shine as key returners for the University of Scranton men's program.
O'Malley recognized as a Second Team selection in the 1,650-freestyle, emerges as a contender for the top spot in this year's championship. With a season-best time of 16:50.11, he currently holds the impressive third position overall in the top-times list. Anticipated to contribute significantly, O'Malley is also expected to accrue points in the 200-yard butterfly, where he is currently ranked ninth, and the 200-yard freestyle, where he holds the 13th position.
Finley, after securing second place in both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events last year, returns to vie for top honors once more. Ranking third in the 100-yard backstroke, trailing behind Hayden Koh of Drew University and Nathan Ober of Catholic University, Finley also impressively holds the third position in the 200-back.
Susquehanna University
- Head Coach: Rachel-Drosdick-Sigafoos (1st Season)
- Team Titles: 0
At last year's championship, the Susquehanna University men's swimming and diving squad clinched an impressive array of victories, securing six events under the stellar leadership of Brendan Alvino. This seasoned senior not only triumphed in two individual events but also played pivotal roles in three winning relays. Additionally, he earned the runner-up position in the 50-freestyle and contributed to the success of the second-place 400-medley relay team. However, the crowning moment for Alvino arrived in the 200-yard freestyle, where he shattered the championship record en route to claiming the gold with a remarkable time of 1:40.61.
As Alvino, alongside Trevor Johnson, stands as one of the team's two seniors, they bring invaluable experience and leadership to the River Hawks. The remainder of the SU roster comprises one sophomore and seven first-years, highlighting a blend of seasoned talent and promising newcomers poised to make their mark.
Wilkes University
- Head Coach: Christopher Paynter (2nd season)
- Team Titles: 0
In his second season at the helm of the Wilkes men's swimming team, head coach Christopher Paynter leads a roster of six swimmers, prominently featuring four first-year student-athletes.
Throughout the season, the Colonels have demonstrated remarkable competitiveness, boasting an impressive 8-7 overall record in dual meet competition. Notably, this achievement marks a significant milestone for the program, setting a new record for single-season wins. Of particular note, four of these victories were secured against tough Landmark Conference opponents, underscoring the team's prowess and determination in the pool.
