Willow: Achieved excellent results in dictation by carefully listening, spelling accurately, and encouraging others to try their best.
Nash: Demonstrated outstanding addition skills by approaching every maths challenge with determination and sharing his understanding with classmates.
Latavia: Displayed determination by tackling tricky maths tasks with persistence by never giving up until the challenge was completed.
Matthew: Displayed impressive confidence and kindness by reaching out to others, making helping everyone feel welcome in our classroom.

Library Awards

Alice: Demonstrated excellent role modelling by consistently borrowing books, caring for the space and encouraging others to develop a love for reading.
Amelia: Showed great enthusiasm for books by eagerly exploring new stories and sharing favourites with friends during library time.

Mac's News

Children's University

Thank you to the students participating in the Children’s University program who have been recording their learning experiences outside of school. Students will have another opportunity to share these experiences and update their individual learning passports on Friday 22nd May (Term 2, Week 5). We are excited to share that our University Campus visit will take place at the NUSpace City Campus on Wednesday 24th June. Families will also have the opportunity to join us for this exciting experience, with more information about the day to be shared shortly.

Top Blokes/Empowered Girls Programs

Stage 3 students have enjoyed beginning their participation in these two programs designed specifically for boys or girls. These sessions run every Tuesday afternoon throughout Term 2 and focus on important topics that support student wellbeing, personal development, leadership and the transition to high school.

Zone Cross Country Carnival

Congratulations to the 10 students who proudly represented our school at the Zone Cross Country Carnival last Friday. All competitors showed great enthusiasm and achieved some fantastic results.

NSW Schools MTB Series

Congratulations to Louis R, who proudly represented Mulbring PS in Mountain Bike Riding last Friday at Awaba Mountain Bike Park. He demonstrated great skill and dedication through his efforts on the day.

PSSA Tennis Competition

We are excited to share that our quarter-final opponent in the 2026 NSWPSSA Hunter Tennis Knockout Competition will be Singleton Public School. Further information regarding the date and venue of the match will be shared with our tennis team once it has been finalised. We wish our team the best of luck as they prepare for this exciting fixture!

Sporting Schools Program - Basketball

This term, we are fortunate to again be receiving funding through the Sporting Schools Program to support a whole-school basketball initiative. Students have thoroughly enjoyed the first week, developing their dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. The program will continue every Friday during sport sessions throughout Term 2, providing students with a great opportunity to build their skills, knowledge and confidence in basketball.

Kurri Kurri High School - Year 6 Transition

Students planning to attend Kurri Kurri High School in Year 7, 2027 will have their first transition day on Monday 16th June. More information will be shared via School Bytes closer to the date. Applications for the Year 7 Enrichment Class will open on Monday 25th May. This class provides students with the opportunity to work collaboratively and extend their academic potential. Further information about the application process can be found on the Kurri Kurri High School website.

Year 6 Fundraising

Each Friday at recess, Year 6 students will continue to sell ice blocks for $1 and will also be selling Freddo Frogs 2 for $1. Thank you to everyone for your continued support in helping to raise funds for end-of-year celebrations.
