The Week Ahead

Parents: If you have walked the halls of MSE you have noticed the "Be Kind" mural. This is a constant reminder to students to do right and if all else fails, just be kind to everyone. Lately we have noticed an increase in negative behaviors and negative choices by students in regards to not being kind towards other students and teachers. These behaviors do not reflect who we are as a school community and do not reflect the type of students we are working to develop here at MSE. As we approach the end of the school year, let's encourage our children to finish strong by emphasizing kindness and good behavior in school. A quick conversation about treating others with respect and making positive choices can make a big difference. Let's work together to ensure a successful and rewarding end to the academic year! We are emphasizing that message here at school, but we would really appreciate that conversation being had at home as well!

Thank you! -Mr. MacIntosh, Associate Principal

Mrs. Dinser's ELA Enrichment class participated in a teambuilding activity this week.

Eagle of the Week

Congrats to this week's "Eagle of the Week" who is 7th grader Quin H. She was nominated by her Language Arts teacher Mrs. Kretchman who wrote "Quin has been one of the most helpful students during my short time here at Middle School East. She truly exceeds all expectations set out for her and is always willing to lend a helping hand to her peers and teachers. Quin is always respectful, kind, and responsible when it comes to her education and the light she puts out into the world. I appreciate her and I look forward to her presence in my class every day!" Congrats!

Be the Change: Positive Referral Student of the Week

Congratulations to our "Be The Change" winner of the week, Delaney K.! Thank you for working hard and being a role model of positive behavior for all.

M-STEP Testing Tuesday April 22

Due to a network error last week, we are finishing the final M-STEP test on Tuesday April 22. Please send your child to school with a pair of headphones for the test.

Please keep in mind the State of Michigan's Electronic Device Policy for testing: If your child has a phone, or other wearable tech, it is best to leave them at home for testing days.
