North Country Fair

Our largest fundraiser of the year was another huge sucess thanks to our many volunteers and patrons. The McKinleyville Land Trust booth served up tasty gyros to the masses at the North Country Fair on Sept. 21 and 22.

Late Summer Foilage

A variety of Morning Glory grows abundantly at Mad River Bluffs.
Red Clover is another plant considered to have medicinal properties.
Purple Asters grow vigorously at CGC.
Queen Anne's Lace, a member of the carrot family, brightens the meadow at Chah-GAH-Cho.
Rose Spiria's bright pink flowers are beloved by pollinators, especially bumble bees. While native, it can spread quickly and become invasive to certain areas.

Birds of CGC and MRB

In the past year the ebird Society has identified 56 bird species at Chah-Gah-Cho alone, and over the past few years has recorded 106 sightings of separate species!

Pints for Nonprofits

Six Rivers Brewery will host the McKinleyville Land Trust's "Pints for Nonprofits" event on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Each pint of beer sold throughout the day will generate $1 for the MLT. Grab a beverage and stop by our table to say hello!
