Lone Star UCS spent the day learning about leadership and teamwork from the Champion NAHL Lone Star Brahmas and Lone Star's young leaders were able to share about inclusion! Their favorite part of the day was skating with the team. Chair races were the best!

South Region Basketball!
Dragons V Titans
On Jan 15, 2025 two UCCS campuses faced off in a UIL Unified Basketball Local game before the area game! The Southwest High School Dragons took on the Legacy High School Titans, and the Dragons defeated the Titans 33 to 26!

A Spotlight On UCS!
Each month, an athlete, coach, team, or group will continue to be highlighted for the incredible work that they do on and off the field for UCS and for Special Olympics Texas.
This month, we're shining the spotlight on Eula Highschool! Eula HS will be celebrating their National Banner Status next week on February 4, 2025, and everyone is invited to attend!
Eula High School is receiving this distinguished status as a result of meeting 10 national standards of excellence in the areas of inclusion, advocacy, and respect. These standards were developed by a national panel of leaders from Special Olympics and the education community.
Unified Coffee Cart!
Woodridge Elementary
5th grade Unified Pairs at Woodridge Elementary started their coffee cart on December 20th.
Pairs prepped coffee and delivered it, teachers were able to customize their coffee. The coffee cart helps skill development and provides opportunities to practice vocational skills such as customer service, money handling, and inventory management.
It also Encourages soft skill development, including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Burleson High School’s Unified Cheer won gold at the State Cheer competition with NCA HS Nationals on Friday
First time to ever compete at the Special Olympics State Cheer Competition and the Unified Sparkle Team CRUSHED IT. 😎🤘🏼
