Restrooms are located on the same floor as the theatre. Please travel past the stairwell, through the double doors, and to your left.

MEET oUR CAST

Angelina Moree

Seymour Krelborn

ANGELINA MOREE is a senior Biology major at NDMU and is minoring in English. She is also active in the TriBeta honor society. This is her seventh theatrical production at NDMU, having previously performed in Tin Cat Shoes (Cheddar), Alice in Wonderland (Queen of Hearts), As You Like It (Rosalind), The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Ichabod Crane), Hookman (Chelsea), and Ada and the Engine (Ada). Special shout-out to her family who always encouraged her.

AUTUMN CRANDALL

Audrey

AUTUMN CRANDALL is a first-year transfer student at NDMU and is excited to perform on stage once again. She plans to major in Psychology and study abroad in Germany. Her past performances include Addams Family (Wednesday), The Matchmaker (Irene Molloy), Mary Poppins (Jane Banks), and You Can’t Take it With You (Essie Carmichael). She has also written and directed a ten-minute play for her senior capstone. Autumn is very ecstatic to perform in her favorite musical, and she wants to thank her friends who support her and her family for never giving up on her.

HUNTER KING

Mr. Mushnik

HUNTER KING is a Quality Engineer at McCormick and a NDMU alum (BA Liberal Arts) who returns for their second production since Two Gentlemen of Verona (Launce). Hunter has a Masters degree in Biology from Towson and spent some time teaching middle school through college students. They have worked on various shows with Ann as crew. Hunter would like to thank their best friend and mom for their support and Ann for seeing something in them and keeping them around. Hunter would also like to thank Doc Boss for being Doc Boss.

ERWIN OTERO

Orin Scrivello

ERWIN OTERO originates from Puerto Rico and currently teaches Spanish in Baltimore City Public Schools. With over 15 years of theater experience in Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Mexico, he's engaged in acting, directing, and artistic studies. Holding degrees in theater and education, he's pursuing a master's in "Leadership in Education" at NDMU, aspiring to become an Assistant Principal. Erwin is the driving force behind a successful theater camp for Hispanic children in the city, running for three consecutive summers. Beyond education, he's deeply passionate about acting, improvisation, dance, music, and the fine arts. Little Shop of Horrors marks Erwin's debut in English-language theater productions.

JOE FARRELL

Voice of the Plant (Audrey II)

JOE FARRELL is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Philosophy Department at Loyola University Maryland and teaches at NDMU part-time, as well. He has lived in Baltimore his whole life and is thankful to his wife, Flor, and his three sons, Neil, Jack, and Tony for the encouragement and extra time to join this wonderful cast and crew.

Keira Humphreys

KEIRA HUMPHREYS is a first-year student at NDMU and thrilled to be in her first collegiate show. She is majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Secondary Education, and she is the Treasurer for her sorority, Omega Phi Alpha. Other stage credits include The Wolves (#13), Chicago (Ensemble/Mistress), Shakespeare in Love (Molly/Lady in Waiting), Mamma Mia (Ensemble), Treasure Island (Boy w/Barrow/Professional/Ship Crew), Villain School (Sandra/Headmistress), Neverland Christmas Carol (Liza/Cookson), Mary Poppins Jr. (Ensemble), Alice @ Wonderland (Queen of Hearts), Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Jr. (Oompa Loompa #5), and Cinderella Jr. (Ensemble). She loves her family and friends with all of her heart.

Ellen Haley

Ronette

ELLEN HALEY is a first-year student at Loyola University Maryland and is so excited to be a part of this amazing cast and crew! She is a double major in Business Administration and Marketing with Public Relations and Advertising with an International Business minor. Other stage experience includes Sherlock the Musical (Dr. Watson), Annie Jr. (Lily), Newsies Jr. (Ensemble), Pinocchio (Ensemble), It’s a Wonderful Life (Clarence), and The Odd Couple: Female Version (Olive). She wants to thank her family, friends, and her directors and teachers for always supporting her and inspiring her to keep on going and to keep auditioning! She wants to especially thank the cast and crew for making her feel welcome at a school that is not her own. Enjoy the show on Skid Row!

Katherine Martínez Argueta

KATHERINE MARTINEZ ARGUETA is a proud NDMU alumna, with a BA in English and Spanish. Previous onstage experience includes Two Gentlemen of Verona (Speed), The Moors (Moorhen), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Schwartzy), El Delantal Blanco (Caballero Distinguido), and various stand-up shows in the Baltimore area. Katherine would like to thank Ann Turiano for reassuring her that Shakespeare could have a Salvadoran accent and her NDMU professors for igniting the spark of curiosity that continues widening her horizons. She would also like to acknowledge the lifelong contributions of her parents, sister, abuelita, and best friend as well as give a shout-out to her loving husband—who she knows would kill flytraps for her! Katherine dedicates this performance to those who have found strength in others’ laughter.

KINGSLEY ODIA is a Doctoral Candidate in NDMU’s school of Pharmacy. Kingsley’s second nature is Music. He has functioned in several music related capacities in Nigeria such as Choirmaster and Music director of the following: the St Augustine Catholic Church Choir, Benin City., the Benin Catholic Denary and Diocesan Choirs, the St Albert's Catholic Choir of the University of Benin and the St Lucia’s Choir of the Bayero University Kano. He was the National music director and eventually the National coordinator of the Forum for the Inculturation of Liturgical Music (FILM-Nigeria). Kingsley is also a composer and dedicates this performance to people all over the world who passionately care for street children, as well as to people of goodwill who constantly seek the “common good" above personal interests.

ANN TURIANO

Director

ANN TURIANO prefers theatremaker because it’s shorter than actor/director/dramaturg/administrator/teaching artist/occasional playwright. She is co-artistic director of Sisters Freehold, a Baltimore-based nonprofit with a mission to eliminate barriers to entry in the field of theatre. For Sisters Freehold: The Sleepover (co-director), The Day We Killed J.W.B. (by the way he was a terrible actor) (director, coming Fall 2024). Directing elsewhere: Mankind, The Zero Hour (Iron Crow Theatre); Alice in Wonderland, As You Like It, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Decision Height, and The Rover (NDMU Drama); The Sea Voyage (Baltimore Shakespeare Factory); kid simple: a radio play in the flesh (Loyola University Maryland); Jerusalem, The Quickening (FPCT). Favorite past roles include Mina Crandon in the world premiere of Hand Through the Veil (An Die Musik), Prince Hal in Henry IV, Part 1 (BSF), and Betty 2 in Collective Rage: A Play in Five Betties (Iron Crow Theatre). ADELE DINERSTEIN

Musical Director

ADELE DINERSTEIN is a freelance music director, pianist, educator, and arranger. She retired recently from The Park School of Baltimore where she was Chair for K-12 Music Program, and Upper School Music Director and Educator. Through her tenure Adele was musical director/keyboardist for 30+ full-scale productions (faves include In The Heights, Into The Woods, Working, Threepenny Opera, and Hairspray,) director of choral, a cappella, and jazz ensembles, and originator/teacher of classes from Ethnomusicology to Women in Poetry and Song. A native New Yorker, Adele began her career as a freelance performer/music director/accompanist/dance accompanist including work with performing artists icons Jacques d’Amboise (National Dance Institute) and Elizabeth Swados (Runaways, The New Americans, et al.) Currently she is teaching and coaching privately, and is pianist for The Charmers. Adele holds a B.Mus. from Brooklyn College and received her M.S. in Education from Johns Hopkins with certification in Mind, Brain, and Teaching. This is Adele’s third time doing Little Shop of Horrors; happy to be with this memorable cast and production team at NDMU!

BRAD J. RANNO

Technical Director

BRAD J. RANNO is currently the Coordinator for AV Technology and Event Production at CCBC. He was formerly the Operations and Event Coordinator at UMBC's Performing Arts and Humanities Building, Operations Manager with Shriver Hall Concert Series, Assistant Technical Director at the Bowie Center for Performing Arts, Baltimore Theatre Project, and Spotlighters Theatre. He has also worked for St. Paul's School, CCBC Essex, and The Washington National Opera. He graduated with a BA in theatre from UMCP and earned a master’s degree in arts administration from Goucher College. Some favorite lighting designs include: The Well of the Saints (PWT), Equus, and Into the Woods at Spots; Compleat Female Stage Beauty (FPCT); and A Doll's House, Inherit The Wind, and The Glass Menagerie at Vagabonds. Enjoy the show!

Kate Bossert

Producer

KATE BOSSERT is an Associate Professor of English and Director of the Drama Program. This is her 17th show as managing producer at NDMU–and her 7th show with Ann. Kate holds a PhD and MA in early modern English literature from University of Maryland and a BA in Fine Arts (Drama) and English from Loyola University Maryland. She teaches courses in literature, writing, and performance. She is immeasurably grateful to Ann, Adele, and Brad for dreaming big and to the entire ensemble for joyfully bringing this musical to the mainstage.

NYLA SMITH

Assistant Director

NYLA SMITH is a Doctoral Candidate in NDMU’s Doctor of Pharmacy program. In elementary school she began writing poetry and acting in community theatre productions. Nyla then transitioned to competitive acting in both local and national theatre competitions where she placed first in solo performances twenty-seven times. After being accepted into the theatre program at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, she acted in live theatre and commercials for years before ultimately pursuing a career in Pharmacy. “We all must do theatre to find out who we are, and to discover who we could become” -Augusto Boal.

ANISAH KHATTAK

Stage Manager

ANISAH KHATTAK is a senior Physics major and Math and Computer Science minor at NDMU. This is her eighth production here, having been in all the rehearsed readings of Fall ‘21, Tin Cat Shoes (Lunch), As You Like It (Adam and Audrey), The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Hans Van Ripper and ensemble), and Alice in Wonderland (Frog Footman, 5 of Spades, and Puppeteer). She wants to thank the cast and crew for being supportive!

KAYLA BRICE

Assistant Stage Manager

KAYLA BRICE is a first-year Psychology major and Photography minor at NDMU. This is her first production here, assisting on another show The Wiz, in her time in high school. Throughout her years at NDMU, she hopes to further her love and passion for theater and is grateful to the cast and crew for being memorable and working hard!

Gianna Mendez

Hair & Makeup Supervisor

GIANNA MENDEZ is a first-year student at Notre Dame majoring in Pre-museum Studies with a double minor in History and Gender Studies. Although this is her first theatrical production, she has participated in advanced artistic and cosmetic studies whilst in New Jersey. Gianna is currently also participating in a beauty pageant for Miss New Jersey where she will once again be putting her cosmetic studies to use!

Blessing Che

Production Assistant & Wardrobe Supervisor

BLESSING CHE is a first-year Biology/Pre-Health major and a Business minor at NDMU. She was first present in the production of Tin Cat Shoes as a production assistant. Blessing acknowledges the NDMU Drama community for giving her the opportunity to spread her wings in a different direction and once again welcoming and encouraging her on set.

DAHLIA "LI" ANJEH-NGAM is a first-year Psychology major and Drama minor. They have been involved with theater since the age of five and are thrilled to be on stage. This is her second production at NDMU, having played Pepper in Tin Cat Shoes this Fall. Like Pepper, they are interested in literature and writing. Special thanks to the cast and crew, as well as her brothers, for their support.

HAILEY GUERRIER

House Manager

HAILEY GUERRIER is a second-year Political Science and English major. This is the 3rd production that she has house managed, having previously managed Alice in Wonderland and Tin Cat Shoes. Hailey is grateful for the opportunity to be house managing once again!

Rachel Camponeschi

Poster Design

RACHEL CAMPONESCHI is a graphic designer located in Baltimore, MD. Rachel started her career in 2017 working as a graphic designer for NDMU, where she worked for five years. In December 2022, she started her own company, Campo Design Co., to take the next step in her career, but she still loves working on the Drama posters for NDMU. They are always such a fun, creative project! When she’s not working, she’s hanging out with her husband, their two dogs (Rufus and Baker) and two cats (Pru and Pepper). www.campodesignco.com
