The event
The need for international cooperation has never been greater. The "triple planetary crisis" of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution is a global threat that requires global solutions. But what are the routes for academic research to influence decision-making on an international scale? Attendees learned how the University of Manchester's research and expertise have shaped international sustainability policy through diverse real-world examples.
The event consisted of a live panel Q&A with academics who have worked with international policymakers followed by a hands-on workshop led by Policy@Manchester, which provided introduction to routes for research impact through policy engagement at local, national, and international levels.
