Yash - Yash is a very calm and serene guy. Hardworking! Just finished step 1 theory and going strong.Wants to move to Trinity exams now. Now Yash wants to give theory and practical exams.
Week 1 - Yash is playing a beginner piece from the Alfred's book. He is thinking of buying a piano soon. He understood the basics of music. Now he is all ready to give his next exam in Trinity. He wants to do grade 1 in practical and theory. He is very patient and positive.
Rudrik -Is ready for lcm exam. Going positive. But a few notes still getting misplaced. Very hard-working. 3 songs done well. Even other criteria well prepared.ie aural, sight-reading, Viva good.rudrik has been my student for 1 year now.
Week 1 - Rudrik has given his grade 1 exam. It went well. He is hoping for a distinction. Now he wants to give grade 3 in practical. He wants to push himself to give this grade. He is making time for music studies even though he has a lot of academic studies too. He is going strong on the latter part of the Alfred's book. He likes Hindustani classical music a lot. He is a huge fan of Bollywood music. He loves playing the harmonium. He worked on an Alfred's piece today and is about to purchase the grade 3 LCM practical book.
Gayle - working on Alfred beginners book. Going good. Gayle is going to play for the Christmas recital. She is going to play we three kings as a duet with me. She has learn it well now it's time to perform. Gayle has been my student for 1 year now.
Week 1 - Gayle loves performing for recitals. She is now in the latter part of the Alfred's book. It is going well. She just performed for the Christmas recital. She wants to play in the spring rectital next. She is now opening broken chords well. She is really positive. She likes calm and quiet.
Lakshya - working on Alfred beginners book. Been in class for about three months. Showing good improvement. Does about three basic songs everyday. Has reached the song rock it away. Going nice and slow with patience and self awareness.is understanding and coping up very well. Lakshya has been my student for 4 months now.
Week 1 - Laksyha is really good. He had been learning piano for a while before he joint. I was surprised when he played the beginner songs in the first attempt. He is currently in the first half of the Alfred's book. His fingers move well. He now wants to know about how to improve sight-reading.
Nihal - Nihal is 12 years old. he just started 3 months back. Nihal is a young lad and he likes new music. He says his favorite music is heavy metal. I tell him about jazz and voicings all the time. He is in love with the whole tone dreamy scale. I'm trying to get him to do grade 1 by next year. He just finished his step one exam. He performed his step one well and hopes to get a distinction. Nihal also wants to buy a piano in the coming month.nihal has been my student for two years now.
Week 1 - Nihal just purchased a piano and is ready to give his grade 1 next year. He started with the piece flying above the clouds today. I always tell my students to think about a pictogram. For this song I told Nihal to picture a an eagle flying above the clouds. I also try to make a lot of automation along the way. Like I try to make many different scenes along the main picture. He is very fastinated by music and I think that's all that matters.
Darshan - Darshan is the best student I have. I have been teaching him for one year now. He got a distinction in lcm with 97 marks. That was the highest marks. Darshan is 23 years old. Very calm and hardworking.He is very talented. He plays the guitar also. His next aim is to do grade 5. Now students have their own ways. Darshan likes to solve problems on his own. Darshan has been my student for almost one year now.
Week 1 - Darshan just started working on his grade 5 today. He likes to solve his own problems. I have to say that he is a good problem solver. He is a quick learner too. He started working on the piece in the owls turret. I told him to picture an owl landing in a turret with a lot of automation too. I want him to think of an entire motion graphics to get the best results. He is an amazing problem solver so I don't have to worry about anything. He is also picking up English quite well now. His fingers glide across the piano too. He is a very versatile and fluent musician. We came across some new Dynamics in this piece too.
Sayli - Sayli has just started 1 year ago. She wants to do her grade 1 exam next year. She is very optimistic and positive. She picks up new concepts quick and is ready to adapt. She has a good ear for music. She did well in her step 1. Now she wants to give her grade one. I told her that music exams teach you a lot about time management and efficiency. Sayli has been my student for 1 year now.
Week 1 - Sayli just started her grade 1 repertoire. She started with the song baby bouncer this class. I did not give her a pictogram though. She likes to master pieces on her own. I give all my students a structure to learn pieces but she does not want any structure. She is more like a free hand. She also did a few scales in this class. She is very positive. She likes jazz a lot. Based on the questions I ask her she likes jazz music a lot.
Shristhi - Shristri is very bright. She wants to teach music just because I teach music. I've had her for 4 months now. She is into science and engineering. She wants to know about the science behind music more than anything. She also wants to be part of the a group recital. She is very positive. She wants to learn to teach children as soon as possible. She is currently in the latter part of the Alfred's beginner book.
Week 1 - Shristhi is a science student. She likes the tech part of music. She is quite fascinated by my teaching style. She wants to teach music as soon as possible. She wants to teach kids. She is very positive. We met because of the spring rectital in which we performed. She likes my group classes the most. I think once students get used to group classes they start liking it. In this class she started learning pirates of carribean for piano. She got very fascinated by the song after I played it. So I played the song once and she started the song hand separately today.
Samanaz - samanaz is a beginner. She still has to get her coordination between the two hands proper. She works really hard towards it. I feel that she is getting a hang of it. She wants to give her step one exam next year. She has a sister who is very young. Her sister is doing well so there is some pressure coming from her family too. She has been my student for two years now.
Week 1 - Samanaz just gave her step 1 exam. She just wanted to give it for experience. She does not want to give any exams anymore. She just wants to play piano to relax. She is in a huge competitive field because of her sister. She want to understand music well. I think it is a break for some folks who just want to relax with music. She is halfway through the Alfred's beginners book. Her hand coordination is coming.
Sahil - Sahil is more inclined towards Hindustan classical music. He is middle aged. He wants to understand music intervals well. He started 5 months ago. He does not want to give exams. He just wants to play for his kids. He finds music to be very theriophatic and fun. Right now he is on the first half of the Alfred's beginners book and is trying to get a through understanding of music.
Week 1 - Sahil is in the former half of the Alfred's book. He keeps forgetting his pieces because of his hectic work schedules. He loves music. He loves Hindustani classical music to be specific. A lot of students come with a good understanding of the harmonium. The good thing about music is that it is applied. He has been on the first few pieces of the Alfred's book for quite some time now. He asks me to repeat teaching the pieces all the time. He has a small son so he is always occupied and preoccupied. He just finished the song ode to Joy today with his right hand.
Dhruti - dhruti has just started music. She has been with me for six months now. She enjoys music. She is inspired by Tom and Jerry. She loves how the music flows in tom and Jerry. She has a daughter who learns music too. Dhruti wants her daughter to be a concert pianist. Dhruti is in the first part of the Alfred's beginner book. She enjoys music and likes if you put music to a story arc. Her pace is very decent.
Week 1 - dhruti is in the first half of the Alfred's book. She is making progress. She really likes the instrument. She has now learnt how to properly open broken chords. She has a very positive attitude. She wants to understand how to play pop songs fluently and by ear. Her hand coordination is coming well too
Tarunna - tarunna is an artist. She paints amazing pictures. She has a better ear for music than me. She can tell me what pentatonic scale sounds better and I would still have no idea. She has been my student for one year now. She does not want to give exams. Her goal is to reach the end of the Alfred's beginners book. She is now at the end of the book. She has focus, she has the drive, she has the challenging spirit. She is like an allround performing artist. She is focussed and doesn't like if I touch the piano. She likes to learn stuff the hard way. That is being a practitioner and doing.
Week 1 - tarunna is very good at art and I think music is applied. She is very positive. She wants to reach the end of the Alfred's book as soon as possible. She recently finished her first blues piece from the Alfred's book. She has a lot of patience too. She takes breaks all the time to travel. I tell students that after you take breaks the music settles down in your mind. She is a quick learner too. Her hand and finger coordination are coming together very well. She goes at her own pace and is very positive. She keeps challenging herself.
Ramya - Ramya is an amazing artist. Again an all-rounder. She is a filmmaker and a creative. She is amazing at music too. She tries to pick the most challenging czerny pieces. She does not want to give exams. She likes the beatles. She loves Kenny g and yanni. She wants to know how music relates to films. So I have to explain modes to her. She has been my student for one year two months now. She is very innovative and focussed. She also does Alfred's beginner book side by side.
Week 1 - Ramya is quite fascinated by the czerny excercises now. Previously she used to just play Alfred's pieces. I was telling an exam student a few weeks back that czerny is very important for finger dexterity. From then on she was fascinated by czerny. She has finished four czerny pieces and is now moving on to the fifth czerny piece. She recently had a film project and she asked for some advice too. She is in the latter half of the Alfred's book now.
Soham - soham is a computer expert. He studies computer engineering. He has really helped me up my computer game. Soham wants to play songs in la la Land. He is very focussed. He can do anything in less time. He has been my student from one and a half year now. Very positive and optimistic. He has just finished step one and is trying to do grade 2 now. He shows me his pieces and makes amazing progress.
Week 1 - soham just finished with his step 1 and now wants to do his grade 1. He is very patient. He just started working on his grade 1. He chose his first song this class. He chose the song minuet in g to start with. He starts with his right hand first and then he moves on to his left hand. In the end he always gets things done. He also wanted to challenge himself to do grade 2 this time. It was a small leak from step one.
Jatan - jatan is into mechanical engineering. He joint with soham and has also been my student for one and a half year. He did his step one and now he wants to give his grade two exam. The thing about jatan is that he does not show me his pieces in time. He always pospones work to the next class. So I will document his progress till he finishes grade 2.
Week 1 - jatan and sohum are from the same college. They both are good at tech stuff. Jatan is really fascinated by la la Land music. Jatan wants to learn all the songs from la la Land. The thing about jatan is that he does not break rules, so he is held down by structure. I think that creatives should know that it is very Important to break rules. I think that if you are structured and disciplined there is no creative flow inside. Jatan is now on Pace with sohum. He too has finished step 1 and is moving towards grade 2. He started grade 2. His first piece was the parade. A contemporary piece from list c. He just started the piece.
Group class 2 - introduction - tuesday
Salil - Salil has been my student for 5 months now. He has an amazing ear for music.he is a game developer. He told me that people love games. He is currently in the first half of the Alfred's beginners book
Week 1 - Salil is now in the first half of the Alfred's book. He enjoys listening to my lectures. He enjoys music. He tells me that he would be moving to a different place to work as a game developer. He is now. His hand dexterity is getting in place. He is an adult, so he just comes to learn something new.
Shweta - Shweta is a Bollywood singer. Her voice is amazing. She wants to understand the scales and structures behind music. She is currently in the first half of the Alfred's beginners book. She has been my student for 4 months now.
Week 1 - Shweta is now in the first half of the Alfred's book. She is an amazing singer. She is very positive. She has a good ear for music. She wants to reach the end of the book soon. She is a big fan of Hindustani music. She plays the harmonium too. So shifting to the piano is not very hard. Her fingers are moving well ,but she is still new to the instrument.
Kunal - Kunal is a violinist. He plays Bach on his violin. He loves opera and classical music. He has very good ears. He wants to master the piano too. He does not have a piano but he is deciding to purchase one soon. He has been my student for 4 months now.
Week 1 - Kunal is a really humourous guy. In one class he identified a classical song before me. He plays piano well. I think after a little time you get used to the instrument. But music is applied. He just needs to get used to the instrument. He is in the first half of the Alfred's book now. He is making good progress. He has a lot of patience. His finger dexterity is coming.
Taaha - Taaha is a famous Bollywood actor. He has worked in a lot of movies. He taught me a lot about charisma.taaha is doing the journey through the classics book 2 .he loves classical music . He wants to understand concepts like DC Al fine and more. He has a very challenging attitude. I've had taaha for 6 months now and he is doing very well. He does have to travel a lot because he is an actor.

Sarfaraz - Sarfaraz is an accountant. He also teaches accounting. He loves music. He picks up new songs very fast. Sarfaraz wants to give his grade 1 exam by next year. He is very fascinated by music. He is right now in the latter part of the Alfred's beginner book. He has been my student for one year now.
Chintal - Chintal is a DJ. He studied electronic music in New York. He wants to understand music theory thoroughly. He is very calm at all times. He loves to understand music. He has been my student for 6 months now and wants to give his grade 1 exam by next year. He currently started working on his grade 1 pieces.
Peter - Peter is a very simple guy. He is middle aged and very humourous. He started learning from me 3 months back. He is silent and works deligently. His goal is to finish the Alfred's beginners book by the end of next year. He is currently in the former part of the Alfred's beginners book.
Mandar - Mandar is a Bollywood singer. He has worked on some major Bollywood songs. He wants to learn the theory of music. He has been my student for 5 months now. He is making decent progress. He wants to understand music theory.more than anything.
Mallika - Mallika is an amazing pianist. He picks all the toughest songs and she plays them really well. She has been my student for eight months now. She wants to give her grade four exam directly. Her fingers move magically.
Sugam - Sugam is a chill music artist. He makes ambient calm chill music which is level two. Sugam wants to play for the recitals. He is doing very well. He wants a through understanding of music theory. He has quite a fan following on his SoundCloud account. He has been my student for eight months now.
Astrea - Astrea has been my student for one and a half year now. She is really positive and bright. She is middle aged .she recently finished her grade 2 exam and got a distinction. She wants to start her grade four syllabus now. She always challenges herself to learn new pieces.
Rachel - Rachel is a singing teacher. She started learning classical piano from me last year. She is very musical. She teaches me singing too. She wants to do her grade 2 piano exam by next year.
Manan - Manan is an amazing guitarist. He was learning the piano from quite some time now. He has done his grade 5 lcm in piano. He is trying to do grade 6 next year. He is very hard working. He has been my student for seven months now. He also did grade 5 from me.
Smit - Smit is a commercial guitarist and pianist. He plays in jazz clubs. He is very raw. He wants to learn voicings and put more structure to his music. He has been my student for three months now and wants to learn jazz voicings like the Herbie Hancock and bill Evans voicing.
Shivani - Shivani is a beginner. She has been my student for 4 months now and just started with the Alfred's beginners book. She is making progress but very slowly. I have to be very patient with her. She wants to give her step one exam by the end on the year.

Pamlova - Pamlova is the admin in the place where I teach. She has been learning with me for about four months now. She has made a lot of progress. Her fingers still need to loosen up. She just wants to learn for knowledge and fun.
Stephanie - Stephanie has been my student for one and a half year now. She is really good. She picks up songs very fast. She is currently halfway through the Alfred's book. She also picks new books all the time.
Sudeepa - Sudeepa is an elderly student of mine. She can speak Hindi very well, but she has a hard time talking in English. She has been my student for two years now. She is inclined towards Hindustan music. She also likes classical music. She is currently doing the Alfred's beginners book too. She is in the latter half of the book.
Sonia - Sonia is an admin in the branch. She is very good. She has been my student for two years now. She is very positive and optimistic. She is doing her journey through the classics book two. She does not want to give exams. She feels that she is done with school.
Sanjeeth - Sanjeeth is the piano seller at the company. He is in charge of selling pianos. He knows all about tuning pianos and fixing pianos. He wants to learn the theory behind music now. He is trying to give his grade 5 in theory this year. He also learns classical pieces but does not give exams.
Naimika - Naimika is a college student. She has done her first grade music exam and wants to give her grade 5 now. She wants to participate in a national level piano competition too. She has started working on her pieces for the exam and the competition. She has been my student for one year now.
Naima - Naima is a piano teacher. She wants to learn the saxophone. Her friends recently purchased a saxophone for her as a gift. She is at an advanced level as a pianist. She has been my student for 6 months now.
Esha - Esha is a bio - chemistry student. She is giving her grade 1 exam next year (LCM). She started working on the pieces. She also wants to up her theory game. She wants to study abroad, she knows that credit points in music are really helpful. She has been my student for four months now.
Zaha - Zaha is a college student. She wants to give her grade 2 exam this year. She just finished her grade 1 exam which went well. She know also wants to do her theory exam grade 2. She has been my student for two years now.
Amina - Amina is a college student. She just finished her step one exam and she wants to give her grade 1 now. She started working on her grade one and it is going well. She has been my student for three months now.
Roshani - Roshani is a college student. She has been my student for 9 months now. She wants to give her step 1 piano and step theory exam. It is going well. She is not very regular because of college exams.
Chanchala - Chanchala has been my student for 4 months now. She is middle-aged. She likes new age music and wants to master hanon excercises. She loves to listen to yanni.
Gaurav - Gaurav is a middle aged student of mine. His son learns the violin. He likes new age music. He wants to learn just for fun. He also wants to know all about piano accompaniment styles.
Christopher - Christopher is one of the youngest students I have. He is very positive. He likes the piano a lot. He has been my student for four months and wants to give his grade 1 LCM exam next year.
Vansh - Vansh is a complete student. He is very good at computers. He wants to give his grade 4 Trinity piano exam next year. He has been my student for five months now.
