Relieving Principal's Message
This fortnight has been a busy one with students all across the school having exciting things happen. Our Year 5 and 6 students went away for three days on Stage 3 camp. They bussed their way to Coffs Harbour and visited all the amazing things Coffs has to offer. The Big Banana was a highlight, as was the mud filled obstacle course students had to crawl through. I’ve heard lots about it! I would like to thank Mrs Cameron for her planning and organisation of the camp, Mr Ansell and Lee for driving the minibus and Cindy, Ethan, Ms McNiece, Mr Butt and Ms Taylor for giving up three days with their own families to give our students this opportunity. You are all super stars! On Wednesday, Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 had their end of year ten pin bowling excursion and today Year 3 and 4 had their turn. Everybody had an amazing time and apparently we have some talented bowlers amongst our youngest students! Thank you to all staff for your hard work and having as much fun as the kids. Wednesday evening was a very special occasion for our Year 6 students. We celebrated their 7 years of primary schooling at the Year 6 Farewell. It is always a very emotional time seeing everyone all dressed up, looking so grown-up and families coming together to celebrate the end of this era in their lives. Thank you to Mr Ansell, Mr Butt, Ms McNiece, Mrs Cameron, Mrs Latinovik, Mr Pearson, Mr Allen, Lee, Jess and Cindy for giving up your time to join us in celebrating this joyous occasion. Next week we have more action occurring. Monday is our PBL Assembly and Friday we have our PBL rewards day. You would have been notified if your child is receiving an award and participating in the Rewards Day. Monday Week 10 is our formal Presentation Day at 10am followed by class parties at 12pm. You will also be receiving an SMS if your child is receiving an award. As we have two special assemblies, please make sure you carefully check the dates mentioned in the SMS received, so you are sure to attend the correct assembly. Have a great fortnight and I look forward to seeing you all at each special event over the next few weeks.
