Praised by VOGUE as “one of the most exciting musicians in GSA 2023”, FLOSS continues to manifest her demand for an equal world with her hyper-visual, unapologetic Feminist Fantasy Pop Music. Everything the official Lollapalooza newcomer touches with her maximalist, campy sense of style turns into a colorful experience for all senses. That should come as no surprise: 10 years ago, Katy Perry already recognized her talent and revealed that she saw her younger self in teenage-FLOSS’ ambition and style. Born and bred in Northern Germany, FLOSS quickly made her mark in the world of fashion designing for Castelbajac in Paris and Jeremy Scott in LA - until JCDC told her that she “should become a performer” and she moved to Berlin to pursue music.
Fast forward to the present day, FLOSS hits that bittersweet pop spot “as if Robyn & Peaches had a musical lovechild adopted by Katy Perry”. Whether it’s a collab with Junge Helden e.V. and German TV-host Joko Winterscheidt to speak up for organ donation through music, a mesmerizing live show or a sassy, feminist viral video (10+ million views on TikTok and Instagram), she knows that “no matter the medium - art has to be political to make a change” (VOGUE).
On her fourth EP "Ego Death", FLOSS uses electronic pop music full of contrasts as her own coping mechanism to create a utopia to escape to on the brink of the apocalypse, closely working with producers Tim & Matteo and the FPC (Female Producer Collective).

FLOSS paves the way to her next EP: “I Will Eat Your God” is the the hard-hitting, empowering soundtrack to breaking free from hippocratic tyranny of all kinds. The motivating mantra for the outcasts to conquer the world. The message? Kill your idols. The reminder? You’re not wrong, you’re divine. The soundtrack that will get your through the day and put you into the IDGAF-villain mode. Think Lady Gaga “Judas” x 2010 Kesha x Charli XCX x Ashnikko.
„Replica Of My Heart“ takes FLOSS fans into a dark, speculative future with hypnotically edgy sounds and infectious bouncy bass. A future which has FLOSS longing for a doppelganger-heart, so hers won’t be broken by future heartbreakers. Haunting, poetic lyrics make heartbreak and dystopia meet – as the singer was deeply influenced by series „Black Mirror“. „Here we go / a perfect clone / my flesh and bones / for you to fuck up“. Charli XCX meets „Die Another Day“.
FLOSS hits another bittersweet pop spot with her first release in 2023: “Please Wear Pink To My Funeral” is an uplifting summer track inviting all backstabbers to say goodbye to her old self. FLOSS 2.0: Digging much deeper into her own soul, the singer now uses her big and bright Feminist Fantasy Pop music as a coping mechanism to deal with darker topics like femicides.
Sexy, bass-heavy and brimming with candy-bar namedrops, “Floss Like A Boss” featuring French Pirates sees the singer link classic sweet tooth vibes (think Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop”, Kelis) from the 00s with timeless 80s flavors. The result is a wild and fun female empowerment anthem about the eternal battle between sugar-coated (guilty) pleasures and their dental care nemesis. The message: Female pleasure should be as normal as brushing your teeth!
Another hypnotic stand-out cut, “Sign” is her way of saying seize the day: “If you were waiting for a sign: this is it,” FLOSS sings over the tune’s thick synth layers. Inspired by “DARK” and “The Matrix,” it’s a song about the one true love, a relationship that might even transcend time and space. First and foremost, though, it’s about the moment and making the most of it – now.
