Staff and students can now take our travel survey. The data will be used to create a Travel Plan, which will encourage sustainable travel and support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 11 – sustainable cities and communities. Take the survey today for your chance to win a Munch Money voucher.

Assistant Project Managers from the Estates Capital Programme team visited the West Slope construction site in November to get an insight into how a large construction project is managed. Ima Al-Khaldi and Habib Jalil shared their thoughts on the visit:

“It was a valuable opportunity to witness firsthand the progress and innovation shaping this exciting development. It deepened our understanding of the project’s impact, ensuring we're aligned with its vision for a sustainable and dynamic campus.” Ima Al-Khaldi, Assistant Project Manager.

"Thank you to the West Slope team for organising this safe and exciting opportunity. It is clear how this project ties in with the mission of the University of Sussex and we cannot wait for the students to see the outcome of this culture-defining project in the years to come." Habib Jalil, Assistant Project Manager.

The Student Spaces 2024 survey launched on 14 November and will run through until 8 December. 📢

We're asking students to share how they use social, study, commercial, sports, society and wellbeing spaces, as well as asking them to share their thoughts on campus accommodation and accessibility.

There are Munch Money vouchers up for grabs for students who complete the survey. If you work with students, please encourage them to take part!

Thank you to colleagues who took part in our Cyber Security Awareness Month events. Each event was carefully designed to support our wider cyber security campaign, improving awareness of cyber threats that affect us all, and helping to keep us and our systems and data safe.

🚗 Pay As You Go permit holder update 🚗

You now have until 23.59 on your day of arrival on campus to pay for your parking via PayByPhone.

The app and website have also been updated so that rather than being offered to enter your ‘length of stay’ in minutes, hours or days, you will now only be offered ‘days’ and your parking session will display an expiry time of 23.59.

Remember, staff with a Pay As You Go permit only need to pay between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Parking is free outside of these hours.

The new ramp installed outside the Silverstone building removes the need to use an alternative route into the building and improves accessibility.
