CONFERENCE AGLIS 2025

In June 2025, the Kalambaka Library proudly hosted the Annual Conference of the Asociation of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists, centered on the pivotal theme: “Democracy of Knowledge and Combating Misinformation”. By bringing together the academic and professional elites of Greece and the US, the Library established itself as a dynamic hub for intellectual exchange. The Library takes a major step in its digital transformation with the launch of an advanced AI-powered virtual assistant on its official website, available 24/7. Τhrough this initiative, it becomes the first and only library in Greece to implement such an innovative digital assistant. Unlike traditional automated systems, the assistant connects in real time with the Library’s catalog and systems, allowing users to search for books and materials, access event information, and receive instant updates on hours, borrowing rules, and membership procedures.
