LOST AND FOUND ITEMS TO BE DONATED
Students often lose items at school that end up in the cafeteria lost and found. Over the winter break, we will be sending any unclaimed items as donations. We will lay out the lost and found items in the cafeteria for lunches on the last two days of school. If you believe your child has lost any items, please have them check in the cafeteria. Common items include jackets, binders, water bottles, etc.
AWARE FOUNDATION AWARDS
Have you had an oustanding experience with a teacher this year? Would you like to recognize them in the community? The AWARE Awards do just that!
The AWARE Foundation honors and celebrates teachers. Please consider nominating a colleague for the 2025-2026 Award. The AWARE Foundation is currently accept nominations for classroom teachers that go above and beyond to make a difference in the AISD. To learn more about The AWARE Foundation visit awarefdn.org How to nominate a teacher: Step 1: Tell them you would like to nominate them! Celebrate a little. Here is a certificate you can share with them. Step 2: Ask them if they would like to accept this nomination. It is an honor just to be nominated and recognized by you. Step 3: If they accept, then work together to fill out the following form to move to the selections process. Each person will be responsible for filling out the section that applies to them. To accept your nomination, teachers must have taught in the AISD for 3+ full school calendar years. Semi finalist teachers will be named in January . Semi finalists will open their classroom up to 3-6 members of the selections committee for classroom observation between January-March 2026. Finalist interviews will take place in April 2026. The AWARE AWARDS will take place in May 4th, 2026.
