Key dates to remember: Application Opens: February 7, 2026; Application Deadline: March 13, 2026; Preschool Lottery: March 16, 2026; Parent Confirmation Emails Sent: March 20, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to apply and secure your spot!
  6. Save the date for the Kaneland Special Needs Craft & Vendor Show on Saturday, April 11, at Harter Middle School from 9 am-3 pm! Shop for Mother’s Day gifts, enjoy a bake sale and raffles, and check out the Resource Fair from 9 am-12 pm.

  8. Utility work near Kaneland High School (KHS) and Kaneland Meredith Academic Center (KMAC) will cause planned power outages. KHS will be affected on Sunday, March 8, from 8am–12pm, and KMAC on Sunday, March 15, from 8am–12pm (weather permitting).

Kaneland Board

The next regular Kaneland Board of Education meeting takes place on Monday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Kaneland Harter Middle School. Finance/Facility, Community Engagement, Education, and HR committees will meet at 6:00 p.m. prior to the board meeting. All of these meetings are open to the public. Together We Build

The scheduled Core Planning Committees, comprised of community and staff members have concluded. There will be ongoing feedback meetings as needed. Bid phasing, timeline, and design process information was presented at the Kaneland Board Meeting on January 26, 2026.
