MARCHING VIRGINIANS FOR A DAY

More than 400 students from 11 states, representing 76 high schools, were invited to rehearse and perform with The Marching Virginians during their Sept. 21 halftime performance at Lane Stadium.

This was the sixth year for the annual MV For a Day event.

It's my birthday today, my 17th birthday, and I'm really happy to be spending it here. — Midlothian High School student
I think one of the things that's special about asking the high school students to join us is that what we do is really cool. It's a great community, it's a really fun atmosphere for them to be part of, and so letting them see what it's like from the inside perspective is really unique. — Polly Middleton, director of athletic bands
The Marching Virginians are all really nice. Generally they're all so chill, but also so high energy. They're all very hyped about the things they do and I think that makes it a lot more fun. — Midlothian High School student
