September 10, 2025 — Kolpin Hotels is proud to unveil the latest chapter of its Family Wine Collection, a continued and unique collaboration with the acclaimed Can Axartell Winery in Mallorca. Crafted where tradition meets modern winemaking, each wine reflects patience, care, and respect for the land. Named after founder Alexander Kølpin’s three children – Roberta, Vincent, and Niclas, the wine collection is a heartfelt tribute to family, passion, and uncompromising craftsmanship, ready to be savored across our properties. This new chapter introduces refined flavor profiles across the existing wines along with the launch of magnum bottles, perfect for sharing and special occasions.
“We are proud to serve these wines at Sanders in the heart of Copenhagen, as well as our sister properties, Helenekilde Badehotel in Tisvildeleje and Roberta's Society in Aarhus,” says Bo Nylandsted Larsen, Chief Commercial Officer. “This collection is a celebration of life’s most cherished moments – to be shared with guests who appreciate timeless elegance and exceptional taste.”
A Partnership Rooted in Excellence
Located in the Tramuntana Mountains of Mallorca, Can Axartell Winery, is the birthplace of these exceptional wines. The estate seamlessly blends the traditional and modern aspects of Mallorcan winemaking, while adhering to certified organic practices that prioritize the well-being of the grapes, the environment, and all individuals involved in the production process. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, each wine in the collection showcases the epitome of winemaking artistry.
Here, the Kolpin Hotels' family wines are crafted with the utmost respect for nature, combining centuries-old traditions with contemporary techniques. Every bottle reflects the character of the land and the ethos shared by both Can Axartell and Kolpin Hotels: quality, authenticity, and thoughtful living.
Meet the Kolpin Hotels' Family Wine Collection
Each wine in the collection tells a story — of place, personality, and artisanal care. Named after Alexander Kølpin’s three children, each bottle captures a unique character while showcasing the beauty and richness of Mallorcan winemaking.
NICLAS
Rich, smooth, and inviting.
A ruby-red wine with freshness and clarity, Niclas offers intense aromas of ripe red berries, including raspberry and a touch of cranberry, complemented by subtle violet notes. Fermented at low temperatures to preserve its vibrant fruit character, it’s soft, balanced, and elegant on the palate, with a long, flavorful finish.
Pair with pork, cured meats, vegetarian dishes, and cheese.
ROBERTA
A Rosé Lively and refined.
With its bright salmon-pink hue and pronounced stone fruit aromas of peach, apricot, and a hint of strawberry, Roberta is a modern rosé that’s fresh, round, and fruity. This lively blend offers a sweet, lingering entry, yet remains balanced and vibrant — ideal for long lunches, light dinners, or sunlit celebrations.
Pair with lamb, rich fish, shellfish, pasta, and cheese.
VINCENT
Fresh and bright.
An elegant expression of Mallorcan terroir, Vincent is a lively, tropical-accented white wine with floral notes and a distinct southern brightness. The palate is fresh and clean, with vibrant acidity and a smooth, fruity finish. A playful yet well-crafted wine that captures the island’s sun-drenched spirit.
Pair with rich fish, shellfish, vegetarian dishes, and pasta.
The Family Wine Collection is available at all three of Kolpin Hotels, providing guests with the opportunity to savor the essence of Mallorca during their stay. Whether it's a romantic dinner, a celebration with loved ones, or a moment of personal indulgence, these wines promise to elevate every occasion.
Looking ahead, Kolpin Hotels is expanding its wine portfolio with two exciting new additions currently in development: a house Champagne and a signature prosecco. Both sparkling wines are planned for launch in 2026, reflecting Kolpin’s ongoing dedication to craftsmanship, elegance, and memorable guest experiences.
"We are immensely proud of our collaboration with Can Axartell Winery. Together, we have created something truly exceptional - a fusion of our shared values and the artistry of winemaking. We invite you to join us on this journey as we raise a glass and celebrate the beauty of Mallorca in every sip," - Karim Nielsen, CEO.
OUR FAMILY PASSION FOR MALLORCA
"The passion and connection with Mallorca is ingrained in our family through generations and we wish to share this wine with you, naturally named after a member of the family. For generations we have gathered at our family home in Mallorca to enjoy each other’s company and seek inspiration. We always enjoy the vast nature and local vineyards that continue to offer such a rich and abundant harvest. "We hope you will enjoy this wine wishing and that these grapes will make your heart beat stronger and your palate dance," says Alexander Kølpin.
The coat of arms on the front of every bottle is the crest from the Kølpin family (former Cölpin) that dates back to ca. year 1200.
