Group Therapy

Hiking groups - starting March 2025

Mindpruner is excited to announce that Lee will be offering hiking groups for both middle and high school students and young adults .

6-Week Group for each cohort with a tentative start date Saturday, March 29th.

Times for each Group: 12pm — 1:15pm and 1:30pm — 2:45pm (tentative) on Saturdays.

You will learn and practice skills that are body-based, cognitive, and relational, such as:

  • Regulating your nervous system and emotions
  • Coregulation (and how to apply it towards your relationships)
  • Mindfulness
  • Assertiveness & Self-Advocacy
  • Cognitive reframing (we will utilize journaling as a tool to hone self-awareness and tap into internal dialog/narratives, and all participants will have the opportunity to present aspects of what they’ve learned to group members at the end of the 6 weeks)
  • Organization and planning for your future (I will assess each participant’s unique standing and trajectory with school, work, etc., and together, we will come up with an individualized plan to best suit the individual’s needs. Peer support will come into play with this area, as well).
To Register: Email Lee at llovett@mindpruner.com — explain, in your inquiry, which group/cohort you are interested in. Cohorts are gender-inclusive and open to all who fit within their age bracket.
  • Cost: $100/session, includes materials (small notebooks for journaling, at least one handout per session that encompasses the primary coping skill taught that afternoon)
  • Intake required prior to participating in group (30min, $50).
