Pat shares his thoughts about his upcoming release:
“TRACES” came from the feeling of a holiday romance — fun, fleeting, and full of colour. It’s about living in the moment, knowing it won’t last forever, but giving yourself enough to enjoy it anyway. The track blends alternative hip-hop with house and neo-soul, mixing groove with intimacy.
I travel around Europe a lot and as of recently in North America. I always find myself making connections with people and just being laid back and present in them for that limited time so why not encapsulate in a groovy track only I know how.
This song was recorded and co-produced with my mixing engineer Adam Shanahan (MYFAULT) and little fact is that it was my first time ever being in a recording studio and being able to create and collaborate with someone I have so much trust in. The process was seamless and I think a really cool summer/autumn vibe was created with the finished product.
