Ysgol Tir Morfa - Newsletter Friday 4th JULY 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to all those who joined us for our Summer Fayre this morning! It was a very colourful event with our rainbow themed stalls!

Pupils from our Grange Road site have had a wonderful few days in Anglesey as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Silver and Bronze Awards. The DofE awards involve volunteering, physical activities, skills development and expeditions. A big thank you to Mrs Malcolm-Smith, Mr Brown, Mr Dean, Ms Forrest and Mrs Choudhary for taking the pupils.

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Susan H. Roberts

Another busy week in Enfys with lots of sensory fun and opportunities to develop communication, exploration and physical skills. Da iawn pawb!
We enjoyed working in our sweet factory this week; ready for the Summer Fair. We all put one sweet in the bag and passed it on until it was full. We then had quality control at the end of the line. The sweet bags look really good, we are proud of our work.
Dosbarth Findeg visited Llandudno Museum last week finding out all about the World War and lots of other aspects of the past.
This week Dosbarth Tegid have been exploring the school looking for minibeasts. We went out on two separate days. We found lots more when the sun was out!
Dosbarth Brenig were welcomed by the children and the staff at Ysgol Bryn Hedydd. Our pen pals had put up balloons and a sign to welcome us. They even had the letters we had sent them on display in their classroom. They had set up some very exciting challenges for us, including what seemed like a thousand boxes to make our own castles, bridges and houses with. There was an assault course, twister, tic tac toe and twigs to make a stick man with. We got to feed the chickens too, who had been raised from chicks by our pen pals. We had a great teddy bears picnic which included cakes and hot chocolate with squirty cream and marshmallows . We had the best day ever! Thank you to our friends at Ysgol Bryn Hedydd.
Dosbarth Aled have been on bird watch this week. They made some nut free bird feeders and have been enjoying watching the birds from the class!
Haul have had great fun in the sensory room this week exploring a seaside theme.
