Matt Lowe (Director)

Chris Tilley (Music Director) is a freelance musician in the NC Triad area. Professional credits include "Man of La Mancha" (Gallery Players, Brooklyn), "Into the Woods" (Mill Mountain Theatre), "Tell Me on a Sunday" (Alloy Theater NYC). He has been an orchestrator for Broadway Backwards. Chris’s original shows "Giants Dance" and "Bottom’s Dream" were produced for the Greensboro Fringe Festival, and his musical "Zombie Diner" was presented as part of Camel City Playhouse’s Spilled Ink new play reading series.

Chris is the arranger for several other musicals, including Tara Raczenski’s "Pride and Prejudice" and Sheila Duell’s "The Lost Poet".

Kelly Greathouse (Choreographer) (she/her) is thankful for the opportunity to work with HPCT for the first time. A native of North Carolina, she has taught, performed, and choreographed throughout the East Coast. She thanks her parents and friends for their love and support!

Reese Barker (Stage Manager) With a Bachelor's Degree in Drama from UNCG concentrating in technical production, this is her first endeavor as a stage manager and has had the time of her life. Past productions include The Spongebob Musical, As You Like It, and The Refugee Women at UNCG. Thank you to the cast, crew, and family for their immense support.

Karrington Welch (Assistant Stage Manager)

The CAST

Diana Adkins (Doris) is thrilled to be returning to Punxsutawney, this time with HPCT, for "Groundhog Day." She was last seen as RuAnn in "May We All." Diana has previously appeared as Laura ("Bubbling Brown Sugar"), Clarity Jackson ("Cougar"), Nurse Norma ("Waitress"), and Wife of Bath/Hag ("Canterbury Tales"). When she’s not on the stage, you can find Diana behind the scenes as a director and choreographer. Diana would like to thank her friends and family for their continued support and encouragement in theater and in life.

Nico Campbell (Jonathan/Priest/Elder) is excited to be in this Production. Favorite roles include Defending relative ("Gene Patterson's Satisfaction") College Yahoo (New Years Eve")

Sarah Carter (Joelle/Nurse) loves being on stage and supporting local theater. Sarah would like to thank her amazing family for encouraging her to do what she loves. You may have seen Sarah on the High Point stage before in A Christmas Carol: The Musical, 9 to 5, Nunsense, Spamalot, and Mamma Mia!

Kelsey Cheney (Ensemble) Kelsey has been doing musical theatre since high school. Her first two productions were Seussical the musical and the Addams Family. Her first community theater show was with Greensboro community theater when they did the classic show Annie. She soon went on to continue performing in multiple productions such as the little mermaid, Cinderella , Christmas Carol and the sound of music. She also loves to sing with her church choir. Although she is on the autism spectrum she is just like everyone else and has a love for music and theater.

Robin Cloninger (Debbie) grew up performing in Waynesville, NC. She has been a part of “Mary Poppins Jr.” (Mary Poppins), “Sister Act Jr.” (Mother Superior), “Godspell Jr.” (All Good Gifts Soloists), and many others! She now resides in Greensboro, NC and is thrilled to return to the stage. This is her first time performing with HPCT and she honored to be part of such an incredible cast!

Linnea Bethany Coon (Rita Hansen) is beyond excited to bring this comedic musical to life on the High Point Stage. When not on stage, she is a 4th grade teacher at Foust Gaming and Robotics Elementary School in Guilford County. Some of her favorite roles include Hannah (“Newsies”), Jo (“Little Women the Musical”), Paulette (“Legally Blonde the Musical”), Beggar Woman (“Sweeney Todd the Musical”), and Martha in Secret Garden the musical. She would like to give a huge break a leg to the cast and crew. She would like to thank all her family and friends for supporting her endlessly.

Melissa Darr (Clockradio Voice, Ensemble) is so excited to be a part of this show. She is grateful for the opportunity to be in her very first musical production!

Kayli Ann Davis (Larry)

Kenny Giard (Phil Conners) is thrilled to relive the same day over and over again in Groundhog Day: The Musical. When he’s not onstage, he’s behind the bar at The Corner Bar, serving drinks and sarcastic life advice…both of which occasionally land on TikTok. Past roles include Joseph Pulitzer (Newsies) and Captain von Trapp (The Sound of Music). Kenny thanks his wife Lauren and his two daughters for their love, patience, and selective listening skills.

Oliver Helsabeck (Ned Reyerson) is excited to play the hilariously annoying Ned Ryerson in this “doozy” of a show! Some of his favorite past roles are: Bob Cratchit (“A Christmas Carol: the Musical”), Sir Bedevere (“Monty Python’s Spamalot”), Henry Higgins (“My Fair Lady”), Colonel Charles Craddock (“Murdered to Death”) and Linus (“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”) with HPCT, and Archie Craven (“The Secret Garden”) and Noah (“Children of Eden”) with Spring Theatre. By day, Oliver is Associate Minister for Congregational Care at Centenary UMC in Winston-Salem, and he serves on HPCT’s Board of Directors. Much love to his awesome and encouraging daughter, Elizabeth!

Chris Hughs (Mrs. Lancaster) is happy to be back with her HPCT family. She has enjoyed doing theatre in the Triad for over 30years.Some of her favorite rolls have been (Mrs. Perkins) in Annie, (Mimi) in Missed Calls, (Mrs. Mops) A Christmas Carol : The Musical. It has been great working with this awesome cast and production team. Thanks to her husband Terry, family and friends for their support. To our new addition Buster and all his pals. Woof!

Mike Lasley (Buster/Ralph/Mr. Cleveland) (he/him) has a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate in music from UNCG and teaches at NCA&T State University. He currently serves as Vice President on the HPCT Board of Directors. He has served on production teams for over 50 productions in the Triad. Favorite roles include Dr. Armstrong (And Then There Were None), Earl "Brother Boy" Ingram (Sordid Lives), Sylvia St. Croix (Ruthless), Shrek (Shrek the Musical), Lawrence Jameson (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), and Bud (Bridges of Madison County). All the love to WM!

Christian Lowe (DJ 2, Jeff) is a passionate, charming, and hilarious 17 year old young man who can make a MEAN smoothie. He is the #1 muppets fan, a previous subway surfers world record holder, is very good at playing corn hole, and can recite the entire tiki room soundtrack (what can’t this guy do, am I right folks) he would like to thank the Goats (Aaron Miller and Tommy Harmon), Air fryers, Ryan Gosling, Bruno Mars, Sonic, and the production team for this fire production (fire emoji) (fire emoji)

Courtney Lowe (Nancy, Alarm Clock Singer) is has spent the last 40 years on the stage, and occasionally the screen. Favorite roles include Diana ("Next to Normal"), Violet ("9 to 5"), Judy Denmark ("Ruthless"), Tanya ("Mamma Mia"), and The Ghost of Christmas Past ("A Christmas Carol. Courtney serves as the Executive Director of Communities in Schools of High Point, is the President of HPCT, and sits on the Board of the High Point Arts Council, the High Point Theatre Advisory Council and the GTCC Theatre Advisory Council.

Callie Marion (Clock Radio/Ensemble) is so excited to be joining the HPCT family for their production of “Groundhog Day: The Musical”. She has been performing since she was little and her love of making people smile has brought her here! Callie’s favorite roles include Ouiser Boudreaux (“Steel Magnolias”), Antonia (“Much Ado About Nothing”), #00 (“The Wolves”), Aslan (“The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe”), and the role that started her love of theatre, Hope (“Almost, Maine”). She wants to thank her professors from HPU for encouraging and instilling a love of storytelling, Lori Fields for creating a welcoming environment where Callie’s love of performing began, and her parents for seeing her love of singing and dancing and putting her in dance all of those years ago. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Aaron Miller

Kristina Railsback (Mrs. Cleveland/Piano Teacher/Naturopath) is thankful to be part of the cast of this heartfelt musical, and especially excited to play the Piano Teacher, as that's a role she's played in real life as well! Over the past decade, she has performed in productions with High Point Community Theatre, Spring Theatre, and other organizations throughout the Triad. Favorite roles include Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, Mrs. Brill in Mary Poppins, and Lucy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. When not on stage, she is a professor of education, teaches ESOL to adults, and also enjoys working as a director/music director for youth productions. Kristina also serves on the HPCT Board of Directors, specializing in outreach, volunteerism, and community involvement.

Ezakaya Salazar (Freddie) is beyond excited to be a part of “Groundhog Day.” You may have seen him as Damian in “Mean Girls: High School Edition,” Mush in “Newsies,” or Rudolpho in “Matilda.” Offstage, he enjoys perfecting his saxophone skills and playing volleyball. He is deeply thankful to this cast and crew for making every rehearsal unforgettable, and to his family and friends for their constant support. Ezakaya looks forward to stepping into new worlds of pure imagination in the future.

Sarah Smith (Ensemble, Clock Radio Voice) is excited to be returning to the stage for the first time in over a decade. Sarah has had a passion for performing and storytelling from a young age. She participated in her local children's community theatre in Greenville, NC from 6th through 12th grade as both an actor, and in backstage support as stage crew and set construction. After high school, Sarah got the opportunity to branch out of children's theatre in a community production of "12 Angry Men" (Juror 11) where she decided to follow her love of theatre to higher education. Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from UNCG, and hopes to pursue a Masters in Performance in the near future with the goal of teaching Theatre in a university setting.

Sonny Starling (Lady Storm Chaser/Scientologist) is more than thrilled to be back at HPCT and to be a part of this wonderful production! Some of her previous roles include Ruthie Taylor/Ned in Bat Boy the Musical, Ichi in ReformED, as well as Mrs. Clayton in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical. She would like to thank her Mom, Dad, and Granny for their never ending support towards all of her theatrical work.

Ryan Thompson (Gus/Old man Jensen/Bartender Billy/Elder) is very glad to be a part of this amazing cast for Groundhog Day. His daughter is the one who got him into theater, this is only his second show. His other role was Mr. Smythe ("Christmas Carol: The Musical").

Deanna Welch (Sheriff) is excited for the opportunity to be a part of this hilarious production. She is thankful to her family for their support during the many rehearsals and late nights. This is her 4th HPCT show, and her most recent role was Latrelle ("Sordid Lives"). She very much loves her HPCT family, and is looking forward to many more shows to come!
