Our players headed home during the last week of July for a few weeks of family time and vacation before school begins. This summer has been very positive and full of growth, and we are excited to see the hard work carry into this upcoming season! Go Norse!
Summer Highlights

- Completed 7 Weeks of workouts & team building
- Olympic Winners - Gold: Mya Meredith, Silver: Sydney Martin, Bronze: Kailee Davis
- Kamora Morgan represented Team Canada at the U18 AmericaCup games in Colombia
- Alumni Connections - We have been able to connect with some alumni, and we look forward to welcoming more back in the near future!
We took our talents to the "diamond" to compete in a home run derby. Coach Hans might have needed to ice down his shoulder after pitching, he also may have taken a few hits to the shin and back. Some of the team crushed bombs with previous softball experience, but it was also exciting to see some of our players swing a bat for the first time.
Thank you to Sarah Pruess for showing us how it's done. Sarah played 4 years of collegiate softball at Albion College in Michigan.
Jess (Wendeln) Stallkamp '09 stopped by practice this month. Jess was a member of the 2008 National Championship team. Jess is a School Counselor at Simon Kenton High School.
Molly Glick '20 made an appearance in Highland Heights while out on the recruiting trail. Molly is currently an assistant women's basketball coach at Mercyhurst University. During her time in the Gold and Black, Molly made appearances on the Horizon League All-Freshman Team and the All-Horizon League Second Team.
Michael Ruscher a 1994 graduate spent some time with our staff and team this past July. Along with his work with the HoriZone Roundtable, Michael is a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
