Inspiring - Inclusive - Empowered
We acknowledge the Minjungbal people, of the Bundjalung Nation, who are the original custodians of the land on which the school proudly stands. We raise our hands to the sky that covers the Aboriginal land. We touch the ground in the care of the Aboriginal land. We place our hands on our hearts in love of the Aboriginal land.

From the Principal:
School Sleep Out
Oh what fun!!! We had the best time last Thursday evening at the school sleep out. We ate, played, watched movies, chatted and just generally had a great time.
We were all so proud of our kids for showing resilience and pushing through any nervousness from staying away from home, for being kind and considerate to each other, for being respectful of the space and our staff and just generally being awesome people.
A massive thank you to Ms Stanton and the SRC for their organisation of this event. Thanks to the parents who offered coffees and breakfast to our staff (and thanks to Donny and Shae for being first in!).
We hope most of you had a great night and maybe even turned it into a date night!
Flood Procedures
Just a reminder that a copy of our flood procedures went home with each child today and it was sent out on school Bytes this morning. It looks like we are expecting some more rain so make sure you are familiar with our processes.
Summer In The Pocket
We are looking forward to an epic Summer in the Pocket this year. We have two water slides, the giant slide, a jumping castle, great food and music! For just $15 you can buy a wrist band on the afternoon and ride all the slides, jumping castles and sprinklers. Be sure to spread the word.
We also have an epic raffle - https://rafflelink.com.au/summerpocket
School Absences
Please notify the school via School bytes if your child is absent. Alternatively, wait for the 10am text message, click on the link and fill out the form - it's easy.
Swimming in Term 4
Just a reminder about the intensive swim scheme that will run in Week 7 and 8 of this term. This is where the whole school attends Mullumbimby Pool for swimming lessons. The lessons are paid for by the Department of Education. However, parents pay for the bus and pool entry. All swimming notes are live in School Bytes.
Bikes and Scooters Day
How cool was bike and scooter day! Once again, thanks to Holly Stanton and the SRC for organising an epic day. Our staff had a ball managing the races, designing bike bling, scooting around the COLA and just generally having fun. I'm sure the kids had a great time too!
Planning for 2025
The school is busy planning for all things 2025 - yep, it's like playing Christmas carols at the supermarket in AUGUST! As we come into Week 9 we will have our classes organised and our staffing formula complete. We are hoping to let our students and their families know their teachers for 2025 during Week 9.
Student Leaders 2025
Our prospective student leaders (current Year 5) for 2025 will deliver their speeches to the school on Tuesday 10 December at 9:10am. Parents are welcome to attend.
Awards and Concert
Awards Afternoon - 1:30pm - 3:00pm
Concert Evening - Shared dinner at 5:00pm. Concert to start at 6:15pm.
A flyer will go home this week with all the details.
Basketball
Two weeks ago we took two basketball teams down to Coffs Harbour for the North coast Championships. Our two teams did a fantastic job, picking up wins and learning loads of new skills. Congratulations!
