I am an outdoorsy chick who loves traveling, hiking, laughing a lot and taking photos! I'm also the owner/photographer behind Alison Marie Photography!
Since 2009, I have had the pleasure of photographing dozens of High School Seniors. Yep, that's 15+ years of experience - Holy Moly!
Senior year is fun and exciting and your portrait experience should be nothing short of amazing! There are endless possibilities when it comes to designing your perfect senior session. My goal is to perfectly capture who you are and what you love. This is your opportunity to celebrate this monumental moment in your life and I want to make the entire experience special and unforgettable. STEP 1: PRE-SESSION CONSULTATION
Let's chat!
We will set up a time before your session to discuss the details of your portraits. I will help with outfit guidance, location selection and weâll talk about any items/props (or animals!) you may be bringing. Typically this consultation is done over the phone.
STEP 2: SHOOT DAY!
Weâll meet for your session at our chosen location & chat a bit about the outfits you brought, ideas we might have and other important details. You may be nervous to be in front of my camera, but you really donât have to be. I am very easy-going. I promise your session will be very relaxed and comfortable.
Weâll walk around to different parts of the location to get a variety of images. You donât need to be worried about what to do, how to smile, how to stand, or when to change - Iâll be there to help and instruct you the entire way!
STEP 3: REVEAL APPOINTMENT
An in-person âviewingâ appointment, also known as the "Reveal", will be set up within 1 to 2 weeks after your portrait session.
At your viewing appointment, you'll get to see 40 printed proofs from your session up on my infamous Reveal Wall! Itâs definitely something to get excited about! The âRevealâ session is the time where youâll be able to choose your favorite images, view product samples, ask questions and place your order.

Choosing Your Location
There are so many awesome locations to choose from! Think about what you would like. An Urban setting? A park type setting? A field with tall grass? A beach? Do you like Flowers? A water feature? Or maybe there is a location that is special to you and your family? I can help suggest a location based off of your preferences.
Also, keep in mind that some locations charge an additional fee and some session styles are seasonal. Please take that into consideration when narrowing down your ideal date and where to shoot. But don't worry, I can help with that too!
What is your passion?
I want to know who you are and what makes you unique! I want to know your passion. It might be playing an instrument, fishing, riding horses, sports, drawing, or anything else you can think of! Whatever your passion is, it's worth highlighting!
Yay for props!
Are you an artist? A budding photographer? Play an instrument? Expert skateboarder? Love reading? Love animals? You are welcome to bring any items that define your personality! In fact, I encourage the use of props! We'll definitely find a way to incorporate them into your session!
What Should You Wear?
Your senior session is the time to rock your style! Show off who you are in your favorite outfits and/or team uniform.
Whenever a client asks me what they should wear during their session, I always have the same response: âWhatever makes you look and feel your very best and makes you feel like YOU!â How you feel in the clothes you wear will translate in your pictures, so the more comfortable you are in them, the better. Being comfortable in your outfit choices will result in you being comfortable in front of the camera.
Choose up to three outfits that reflect your personality. Include both casual and dressier items. (Bring some extra options too just in case youâre not feeling it on the day of your shoot!) Make sure your clothes are clean, well-fitted, and ironed. And don't forget the shoes!! Shoes are a GREAT way to also show off your style!
What to Avoid...
- Wearing all black or neon colors
- Clothing that doesnât fit well
- Clothing that is too similar to your skin tone
- Fabrics that overly wrinkle (hangars are critical!)
- Dirty sneakers (nothing kills a great outfit faster than dirty shoes)
The Senior Portrait Experience
Session Fee: $150 + $349 minimum order
A full senior portrait experience with Alison Marie Photography consist of two elements - a session fee + a product investment.
Session Fee includes:
a 1 hour portrait session at 1 location
up to 3 outfits
a Reveal Appointment to view 40 printed proofs
The session fee covers the photographer's time, talent, image processing, and Reveal appointment. Prints and products are NOT included in this fee. The session fee of $150 and a signed contract are required to reserve your session date & time. A 2nd payment of $349 will be due on or before the day of your session & will be applied toward your collection/product purchase during your Reveal appointment. Any remaining balance for your product purchases will be due the day of your Reveal appointment, when your order is placed.

Frequently asked questions...
How do I book my senior session? You can contact me at alison@alisonmariephotography.com or call 413-563-0346 to book your session. The session fee of $150 and a signed contract are required to reserve your session date & time on my calendar.
What if it rains? If it rains or strong winds are in the forecast we will need to re-schedule your session to another date.
What happens after my shoot? Within 1 to 2 weeks of your session you will come to my studio for your Reveal/ordering appointment. You will get to view 40 printed 5x7 image proofs and place your order for your favorites!
Does my portrait session fee apply to my product purchases? No. The session fee covers my time, talent, preparation for your session and your Reveal. Your second payment of $349 due the day of your session will apply towards your product purchase - essentially giving you a $349 credit at your Reveal.
Do you offer a payment plan? Yes! Ask me about my Pre-Session Payment Plan options!
Do you submit my yearbook image? Yes, we will submit your chosen yearbook image to your school for you.
