THE FREELAND CLUBHOUSE The University of Evansville Baseball program received a generous commitment from Kyle and Ashley Freeland to serve as the cornerstone for the initiation of a state-of-the-art Baseball clubhouse. The facility will include a locker room, offices for coaching staff, team lounge and mudroom, as well as an outdoor pavilion with viewing onto the German American Bank Field at Charles H. Braun Stadium.

Kyle and Ashley Freeland

Kyle '15 and Ashley '15 Freeland have generously contributed approximately $3 million to facilitate the establishment of a baseball clubhouse for the University which will be known as The Freeland Clubhouse. This is believed to be the largest gift in UE Athletics history. The Freeland's philanthropic gesture will serve as the cornerstone for the initiation of the clubhouse project

Kyle and Ashley Freeland desired to give back to the University of Evansville to honor Kyle’s development as a player and person during his time at the University. The Freeland Clubhouse will support the program into the future and is an integral component of UE’s comprehensive athletics strategic plan, Pathway to Excellence. The Freeland Clubhouse will create a team-oriented environment for our Baseball Purple Aces. It will be a place where they can realize their true potential as students and athletes. Baseball teams will form unbreakable bonds, and lifelong friendships will be born. It is a place where recruits can visit and envision themselves as a Purple Ace. The support of this project is a great way to build on the success on program and sustain us for the future.

The Freeland Clubhouse will be one of the top facilities in the nation while providing resources that rival any other student-athlete experience.

The official unveiling of the project came in May of 2024 prior to UE hosting its first-ever Missouri Valley Conference Championship held on the UE campus.

Locker room, offices and a player lounge are just a few of the amenities of the Freeland Clubhouse.

The Freeland Clubhouse will be one of the top facilities in the nation.
Honoring our past

Wes Carroll

UE Head Baseball Coach

"The Freeland Clubhouse will make an enormous impact on the baseball student-athlete experience here at UE. We have taken steps to improve our facilities but this project will help our program take a giant leap. I'm so grateful for Kyle and Ashley Freeland to believe in the student-athlete experience here at the University of Evansville. What a great time to be an Ace!"

Dr. Ziggy Siegfried

Director of Athletics

"The Freeland Clubhouse will be a state-of-the-art facility that will be an absolute gamechanger for the student-athlete experience for our baseball program. It will be a place where coaches develop young men into the leaders of tomorrow. It will be a place where student-athletes learn and prepare for excellence on and off the field. It will be a place where former student-athletes and coaches can come to visit knowing that they helped build our baseball program into what it is today. It will also be a place where top-tier recruits and their families fall in love with UE. Our story will be told in the Freeland Clubhouse."

The construction cost of the Freeland Clubhouse will be covered entirely by philanthropic support.
