We're living in unprecedented times. Significant shifts are taking place on the planet –shifts in consciousness, in healing, and in understanding our interconnectedness with each other, the natural world, and the cosmos. This is a time of incredible transformation for humanity.
Can you feel it?
Of course, the pervasiveness of suffering and challenge in the world, can easily obscure our vision, making it hard to see the goodness that exists. And yet, a groundswell of souls are awakening to the truth that at our core, we are all inherently good – that it’s the heart and not the sword that will lead us home to remembering our true natures as beings of light and love. This is the miracle that we’re awakening to. This is the miracle of this sacred life.
THIS OFFERING
Originally conceptualized as a process of exploring the second half of life, this offering has been reconfigured to explore the gifts, challenges & tasks of being alive at this extraordinary time in human evolution. This Golden Age of Miracles (Kaia Ra), seems aptly captured by Angeles Arrien when she writes:
"When you find the courage to change...a miracle happens."
The 9 Gates Project is an invitation to arouse this courage within – to awaken to the miracle that is this sacred life. Arrien's seminal work - The Second Half of Life: Opening the eight gates of wisdom - will create the container for this journey. Regardless of age or stage of life, this framework will provide the scaffolding needed to help move participants into the sacred space of thresholds – places of stillness where the transformative work of re-visioning life might be cultivated
Working alone and in community, participants will explore realms of inner transformation as detailed by the eight gates, and reflective of the massive changes now underway on the planet. Together, we'll explore the unknown, new identities, our relationship with our sacred bodies, heart-based living and more. Each gate will usher travelers into a process of opening, deepening and softening into their soul's perennial wisdom in a way that is unique for each participant. Augmenting this will be an introduction to the Divine Feminine as a significant source of transformation and support.
This 7-month series will systematically explore each of the eight foundational Gates of Wisdom using various transpersonal approaches, exercises, and understandings. It will feature a self-study component as well as regularly scheduled community gatherings and integration circles where participants can deepen into the work through discussion, ritual, and breathwork practices.
Why so long?
There are no quick answers with this work. Time is needed to excavate and decondition the habitual patterns of thinking and being that have led many to feel estranged from a healthy and fulfilled experience of life. Processing, practice, self-study and reflection are an integral part of what happens in the space between gatherings. In order to maximize the transformative potential of this work, participants are encouraged to take their time; to marinade in the inner stirrings that this work will surely generate; and to create a new vision of life that is inspiring, nourishing, and sustaining.

THE SERIES
Participants will be provided with a series of self-study modules. These modules will include video recordings, exercises, practices, and reflections. The gatherings - scheduled every three weeks - will serve to deepen into the the essence of each gate, providing space for discussion, support, questions, integration, and expansion. Each gathering will be 3 hours in length. Breathwork and Coaching sessions will augment this work.

SESSIONS 2 - 9: The Foundational Gate Sessions
- SESSION 2: September 23, 2023. This session will explore the Silver Gate... "threshold of the unknown."
- SESSION 3: October 14, 2023. This month, the White Picket Gate will explore our "changing identities" and "our true face".
- SESSION 4: November 4, 2023. The Clay Gate will be the focus of this gathering. We'll explore "coming home to your body."
- SESSION 5: November 25, 2023. This gathering will explore the Black and White Gate..."crucible of relationships."
- SESSION 6: December 16, 2023. The Rustic Gate will be the focus of this month's gathering. We'll explore "what feeds your soul?"
- SESSION 7: January 6, 2024. We begin the New Year with an examination of the Bone Gate, exploring the question "what is your authentic nature?"
- SESSION 8: January 27, 2024. Later this month, we'll delve into the work of the Natural Gate..."coming home to our natural rhythms."
- SESSION 9: February 17, 2024. This session will explore the Gold Gate and the practice of "nonattachment, surrender and letting go."

SESSION 10: Integration Circles
- Breathwork will be the focus of each Integration Circle. See "Integration" for details.
SESSION 11: Psychedelic Ceremony
- The Crystal Gate is the gate of completion. Here we work with sacred ceremony to enliven and deepen the integration practices explored during this series. At this final gate, we remember our sacred interconnectedness with all of life. This is a "wholing" process.
- This is an optional event and will feature a Plant Medicine and/or Breathwork Ceremony specific to the task of integration. Participants may choose to opt out of this final experience.
- This offering will entail an additional cost and will require an assessment to take part. This will be an in-person experience.

- SESSION 12: March 23, 2024. This final session will explore next steps. After the 9 Gates continues the conversation, and includes an Integration Circle & Celebration. This session will be extended to provide ample time for wrapping up our time together.

INTEGRATION
Breathwork Sessions
- Opportunities to integrate new learning into daily life, will be offered using a variety of methods including 1:1 coaching sessions, regular small group gatherings, medicine work at the Crystal Gate, and Breathwork.
- Biodynamic Breathwork with Megan Hill will be offered three times over the course of this series: October 22, and November 19, 2023 and January 14, 2024. This will be offered online and will be offset by:
- Conscious Breathwork sessions offered by Cory Firth on: December 10, 2023, and February 25, and March 17, 2024. This will be offered in-person where possible, and online as needed.
- The final breathwork session on March 17 serves to complete the integration process for 1) Crystal Gate participants and 2) the series as a whole. All participants are welcome and encouraged to attend.
- These sessions will be tailored to the gate themes under review with an underlying motif of balancing the masculine/feminine principle. In addition to breathwork, these sessions will provide time for sharing and debriefing anything arising in response to this series through the altered states that breathwork cultivates.

Transformational Coaching Sessions

LOCATION
In order to accommodate those from out of town, an ONLINE format will be utilized for the duration of this series. If all participants are local to the Kingston area, an alternate venue may be arranged in order to accommodate an in-person experience.
INVESTMENT
The breakdown: 3 facilitators, 48 hours of live content (10 gatherings and 6 breathwork sessions), plus 10 hours of pre-recorded material and two 1-hour Coaching Sessions with Denise. This does NOT include the Crystal Gate experience.

- Pay as you go. In order to maximize the transformative potential of this work, participants are encouraged to commit to the entire series however, paying for the entire series up front may be difficult. This option provides participants with the flexibility to pay for each month as they proceed through the series. COST: $158/month payable on - or before - the 1st day of each month beginning September 1, 2023 and ending March 1, 2024.

Who am I?
I'm a curator. I use diverse talents and skills to help others attain psychospirtual wholeness through reconnecting them with wisdom that is innate and primordial. When we acknowledge and accept all that we are - both our woundedness and our gifts; when we can lean into and touch the truth of our Divine Nature - then we are engaged in the work of living. This is soul work.
My work is grounded in psychospirtual and transpersonal realms of thought, practice, and worldviews. Indigenous Spirituality was my blessed entry point into this understanding. I honor the teachers and wisdom keepers of this sacred way. Formal training acquired includes Transformational Coaching (Certified 2010) and Transpersonal Psychology (MA, 2009). Shadow/parts work stems from this field of study as does an innate understanding of transpersonal symbolism. Adding to this mix, is training in somatic, compassion, psychedelic, trauma, mindfulness meditation, Mystery School and wisdom practices (see training, tools and credentials). Together, these add incredible depth to my work while simultaneously expanding my own consciousness, helping me to walk the Middle Way between the transpersonal and the challenging reality of sentient life.
Who am I? I am a Soul Worker. I curate, plant, and find that which has been sought. Mindful - Compassionate - Healing is fundamental to my practice and the work of healing and restoring the wounded soul. It is fundamental to the work of my soul. It defines my approach to life.
