During library time, Otselic Valley’s fifth graders had the opportunity to explore hands-on robotics using Cubelets — magnetic blocks that snap together to form moving creations without the need for programming or wires.
Students experimented with three types of Cubelets: • Sense Cubelets to gather information • Think Cubelets to process data • Act Cubelets to bring designs to life with movement, lights, or spinning features On loan from the DCMO BOCES Makerspace Loanables, these innovative tools encouraged students to design imaginative robotic structures while strengthening problem-solving and critical thinking skills. It was exciting to see students collaborate, test ideas, and bring their creative concepts to life!
