Ysgol Tir Morfa - Newsletter Friday 11th JULY 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

It was lovely to celebrate with our Year 6 leavers and their families this afternoon. We celebrated their time as primary school pupils at Ysgol Tir Morfa and wished them well as they start their secondary pathways.

Pupils from our Grange Road site came in 2nd place at the football tournament at Pengwern College today – Well done everyone!

We are looking forward to welcoming the parents and carers of our leavers on Tuesday 15th July to join us at the Ffordd Derwen site hall at 10.30am for our School Leavers’ Service.

Enjoy the sunshine and have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Susan H. Roberts

Headteacher

Our Week at Tir Morfa
We have been keeping nice and cool in the sun this week enjoying some water play!
Famau had a special visit from Mr Jones who works at Ysgol Penmaenrhos. He enjoyed meeting our pupils and experiencing our forest school day as well as eating delicious vegetable korma cooked over the fire.
Alwen enjoyed a fantastic end of year visit to the Welsh Mountain Zoo this week. We all loved searching for animals, listening to them and watching them move.
We loved seeing the monkeys swinging from branch to branch, the penguins swimming over and under the water and the sealions clapping for their food. It was a beautiful day! We even saw our friends from Dosbarth Alwen, who went to the zoo too. There was also a cheeky seagull who pinched someone's sandwich!
This week pupils from Dosbarth Findeg have been helping to make a film with Wicked Wales. Great fun
Learners in Dosbarth Siabod this week planned and completed a 6 mile walk for their Bronze DofE expedition.
Tryfan pupils work hard in the sunshine preparing the compost heap and vegetable beds for the summertime.
This week Dosbarth Tegid and Dosbarth Aled enjoyed an end of year trip where both classes loved Bowling. A great way to end a great year!
Dosbarth Lleuad had a visit from PC Manus the school community police officer and we were able to sit in the police car and listen to the sirens! We have had fun in the park in the sunshine and enjoyed parachute games.
Dosbarth Enfys enjoying ‘Canu Cymraeg’ - a Welsh singing session with lots of fun and laughter. Da iawn pawb!
