Caleb Ward: How AI is Changing Creativity
AI is revolutionizing creativity by expanding the boundaries of artistic expression, offering powerful tools that empower creators to bring their ideas to life in unprecedented ways. Vickie Moore: My journey to smarter, faster creativity as a branding designer.
In this session, Vickie will walk you through each step of her branding process, sharing how she incorporates AI to save time, enhance creativity, and deliver exceptional results for her clients. Whether you're a designer looking to optimise your workflow or a small business owner curious about AI’s role in branding, this talk is packed with insights you won’t want to miss!
Joshua Duttweiler: How to use AI to generate user instructions
I’ll share a project from my communication design class that explores AI’s ability to generate accurate user instructions. Through designing a comparative “how-to” booklet, students juxtaposed their own knowledge and methodology with AI-generated instructions, using a two-color risograph printing system to visually highlight the differences. This hands-on approach not only encouraged critical analysis of AI’s limitations but also equipped students with essential AI tools and workflows. Ultimately, the project aimed to foster confidence in using AI as a complement to human expertise rather than a threat to it.
Jason Porter: AI in Campaign Visuals and when to credit AI
Explore how to effectively use AI tools to create compelling visuals for campaigns. Learn how to craft strong prompts, influence composition and aesthetics, and apply design and photography terminology to refine AI-generated images. The talk will also discuss when to credit AI-generated content, offering a practical perspective on transparency in creative work. Whether you’re designing for marketing, advocacy, or storytelling, this session provides actionable insights to enhance your AI-assisted image creation process.
