Dear Parents and Carers,
This half term has flown by and the pupils have enjoyed the lovely sunny weather and all our outdoor activities.
Pupils from Dosbarth Famau have been amazing and organised a wonderful Social Enterprise Disco for all our pupils today at the Ffordd Derwen site. They have raised £100 to purchase items from Sainsbury’s to donate to the Rhyl Foodbank. Lots of fun was had by all!
Enjoy the half term break and we will see the pupils back at school on Monday 2nd June
Kind regards,
Susan H. Roberts

It has been another busy week in Dosbarth Aled this week! Their vegetables have started to grow and they’ve made scarecrows to help protect them, the bedding plants are selling and they have started to make their outdoor space more inviting, tidying up and painting the boat to make it a new seating area! Great work Guys!!!
Famau worked really hard to make loom bands, book marks, chocolate coated cookies and sensory bottles for the Social Enterprise disco. Everyone had a fun time at the disco and we have been making money from the ticket sale so we can buy food goods to give to the food bank in Rhyl.
Alwen had a cooling down day this week in the run up to the half term break. We chose our favourite flavoured ice cream using our communication devices. Then we took a trip to the shop in the sunshine and bought our favourite flavour. We made ice cream cones with sauce. But the best bit, of course, was the tasting!
Dosbarth Tegid have mastered the task of using the washing machine. No assists needed. I'm sure they'll be a great help at home now!
Dosbarth Brenig got through the regional finals of the “WRU club of the future challenge”, with HWB, the Welsh Rugby Union and Minecraft Education as their judges. They have worked so hard on this and are looking forward to going to the Prinicipality stadium in Cardiff for the National finals. They have built secret rooms for the rugby players and celebrities, there is a coffee shop, and a phone shop, places for the visitors to stay and a huge fruit and vegetable museum. There is a fair ground powered by solar panels, and restaurants built into the rock face. This all surrounds the amazing rugby stadium! Llongyfarchiadau!
Tryfan pupils and staff had lots of fun on the King's Trust Achieve Teamwork challenge today at the Llandegla Laser Combat. Fresh air, exercise and fabulous team skills.
Dosbarth Tegid and Aled have been developing their throwing catching and batting skills this week with lots of games of rounders
Next weeks dinner menu at Ffordd Derwen is: Week 1
