Nursery and Reception have been on a top secret mission making lots of lovely things in readiness for a special day on Sunday... Mother's Day!
Nursery have been reading the story 'Guess how much I love you' and talking about why they love their Mummy. They have been enjoying the sunshine and making the most of the nice weather exploring the outside area... and getting muddy! Mr Ling came down to enjoy the sunshine too!
Reception have been reading the books 'My Mum is fantastic' and 'The three little pigs'. They had great fun building the different pig houses, setting the challenge of who could be the biggest wolf and learning the names of different animal babies.
Both Nursery and Reception had the most amazing celebration for World Book Day! They all came to school in costume to show one of their favourite book characters and we had some of our Sixth Form students coming down to read the children their favourite books.
Reception drew their favourite characters on their class iPads using Just2easy on Hwb. It was such a lovely day that, in the afternoon, Reception pupils were tasked of finding places to read outside and around the whole of the Lower School building. So many stories were read and so many discussions about the books. Diolch yn fawr to all our helpers, the children had a lovely day!
