Diolch yn fawr! Thank you for all your support over the last few weeks, it's been very much appreciated! Thank you to everyone has completed our feedback forms following the Help Your Child Love Maths sessions and Parents' Evenings - it's great to hear that things are appreciated and are making a difference, helping our children to believe in their ability to succeed in maths.
Thank you to members of the British Legion who visited us last week for a very special Remembrance Assembly - they were very complimentary about the way the children were so caring & respectful during the minute's silence. Dosbarth Glas stayed on afterwards to talk to them given their topic this term is Power, Peace and Poppies. And thank you to parents who have given up their time to support the school: volunteers in school and on trips, those who came to the Remembrance Service, those who have come to Parent Forum or Governors meetings, parents who transported bikes to and for school for Y6 children to be able to achieve their Safer Cycling certificates and those who transported supported the children at the football and netball tournaments, and, in advance, the PTFA ahead of next week's Step into Christmas event. We still have a few spaces available: the booking form (linked here) will close 9:30am on Monday morning.
Christmas Concerts 2025
Information about concert dates, times, locations and how to book tickets etc is linked here. You will need to book tickets by 9:30am Friday 5/12/25 - we can then see if we have capacity to release additional tickets to those who request them. Most of our concerts are held at Riverchurch and we're incredibly grateful to Pastor Dave, our Chair of Governors, for this as it means we can be accessible to all.
As you can tell school has been a very busy place this term and we couldn't do it without your continued support. Thank you to everyone who helps to make everything run smoothly.
ALN Coffee Morning
How can you help?
• Be on time • Ring us and leave a voicemail or email the office if your child isn’t going to be in school • Fill out the dinner order form each week • Ensure your child is ready for PE on PE days (wearing trainers, hair tied back if long and no earrings - please note we cannot accept taped ears and parents are strongly advised that if they plan to pierce their child's ears this is done at the very end of the summer term) • Provide a water bottle (clear, sports top bottle with water, not squash inside) • No bags, jewellery, toys, etc • Send in fruit money (Nursery – Y2) – juniors can buy fruit if wanted, too.
Spotlight on Policy & Procedure
Next week our Education Welfare Officer will be conducting a 'Late Gate' and talking to parents of children arriving late. We're finding the high number of late arrivals very disruptive, however, we ask all those arriving late to consider the impact on children. The office are now texting parents our new information sheets whenever children arrive late.
