2024-25 Eye on the Goal
Our 2024-25 Eye on the Goal (EOTG) document is posted on our website. The EOTG articulates our district’s strategic plan. This plan aligns our practices and efforts toward a common vision and mission. Department and building-level EOTG plans have a uniform design and approach. As a result, our system is integrated and aligned–we are all moving in the same direction. The following list highlights some of the district’s key focus areas for the 2024-25 school year.
- Create and deploy action steps to improve reading and math achievement and growth and college, career, and community readiness.
- Build expertise in using Professional Learning Communities to close the achievement gap for students with performance within the bottom quartile of our student population.
- Implement continuous improvement efforts related to student engagement, parent satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- Enhance staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention practices.
2024 Summer School Enrollment
Muskego-Norway Schools summer programming continues to thrive as we keep the minds and bodies of our students and staff actively engaged during the summer months. This past summer, we continued to see strong participation. For the third year in a row, over 2,500 resident students took advantage of the gap-closing, enrichment, or credit-bearing courses offered K-12.
In large part, our participation, which can be seen in the graph below, continues to see high levels due to the wide variety of enrichment opportunities offered at different times for all grade levels throughout the summer. Examples include K-8 swimming (682 lessons given between June and August), 1st-4th grade All-Sport Academy (122 participants), 4th-8th grade Fab Lab (102 participants), College Essay Workshop for high school seniors (67 participants), and 7th-12th grade Muskego Power (634 participants).
We are thrilled that the high levels of enrollment continue to allow students to learn, grow, and succeed during the summer months and have a positive impact on our district budget.
