BIOGRAPHY

Luis Silva was born in Ecuador in January 1995. His passion for music was born through his father Luis Silva, who is a renowned Ecuadorian drummer. At the age of 13, an approach to the drums is created, as the main instrument, where a strong interest in discovering the instrument is born. During adolescence, at the age of 15, Luis decides to take private drum lessons with Gregorio Carrera, an Ecuadorian artist recognized for his talent and professionalism, who was in charge of laying the musical foundations, technical development and language of the instrument; and also as a source of inspiration to prepare academically. Upon finishing his secondary education, Luis decides to study a Bachelor of Music with a specialization in Music Production at "Universidad de las Américas", where he develops as a professional. While studying at the university, he is part of important projects of the drum department, among which the following stand out: assistant of the "udla drum day" events, edition and production of the educational videos of the drum school, creator of the channel Youtube and social networks, among others. Luis has had the opportunity to attend different bands such as Drum Tech in international events and festivals, among the bands are "All Toys" and "Narcosis", both Ecuadorian bands. During his period of specialization in production, he works to produce different musical projects for Ecuadorian artists and university students, where he gains experience in the field of recording, editing and mixing processes. Luis travels to Los Angeles - California in search of expanding his knowledge, so he decides to take an intensive course under the tutelage of the great artist Dave Elitch, prominent drummer for projects such as The Mars Volta, Killer Be Killed, M83, Justin Timberlake, among others important artists. Hailing from Quito, Ecuador, Luis Silva embarked on a musical odyssey that led them from Albuquerque, USA, to their current pursuit in Las Vegas. Driven by an unyielding passion for music and a relentless pursuit of personal and artistic growth, Luis Silva made the monumental decision to relocate to Vegas to follow their dream of becoming a full-time musician. Having recently settled in Las Vegas, Luis Silva is on an invigorating quest to further their musical journey. This move symbolizes a dedication to the craft and an unshakeable commitment to nurturing the soul through music. During their time in Albuquerque, Luis Silva played a pivotal role as a drummer for the vibrant Uptown Church, infusing soulful rhythms into worship services and contributing their musical talent to the congregation. Moreover, Luis Silva seized the opportunity to share their expertise by taking on the role of a drum instructor within Uptown Church, guiding and inspiring aspiring drummers through dedicated lessons and mentorship. This experience not only allowed Luis Silva to contribute to the musical community but also solidified their commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians. In his career, Luis has worked with notable artists in the local scene in Albuquerque, New Mexico, collaborating for two years with virtuoso bassist Artha Meadors and neon-pop artist Jimmy Climbs. Additionally, he served as a drummer and gave drum lessons at Uptown Church. With a drive for further professional growth, Luis moved to Las Vegas, where he recently recorded a heavy rock album with Dario Lorina, guitarist of Black Label Society. Today, Luis continues his work as a session musician, educational content creator, and drum instructor, standing out as a respected and recognized figure both in Ecuador and internationally.
