ADOBE EXPRESS ESSENTIALS [ BEGINNERS ]
Introduction to Adobe Express

This beginner workshop will help you get started with Adobe Express confidently and quickly. You’ll learn how to access Express using your WSU email, set up a unit project folder, and share it with colleagues to support easy collaboration.
You will also explore how to access the WSU Storytelling Guide which helps you connect to students and Branding Toolkit, so your visuals remain consistent, professional, and on-brand from the start.
ADOBE EXPRESS ESSENTIALS [ BEGINNERS ]
Using Express in Blackboard Ultra
3 pm (AEDT) Thursday 5th March
Learn simple, practical ways to enhance your Blackboard Ultra unit site using Adobe Express - no design experience needed. In this session, we’ll explore easy-to-create visuals that work well in Ultra, such as banners and section headers plus explore how to create welcome messages that are on brand. You’ll follow step-by-step demonstrations to create and reuse these assets in Express, along with beginner-friendly design tips to help keep your design clear, consistent, and engaging for students. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with three ready-to-use assets for your unit site ready to embed directly into Blackboard Ultra.
ADOBE EXPRESS ESSENTIALS [ INTERMEDIATE ]
Creating Video & Audio Assets
3 pm (AEDT) Thursday 19th March
This hands-on session is designed for WSU staff who want to create engaging teaching content using video and audio in Adobe Express. You’ll learn how to plan, record, and produce short, student-facing videos such as concept explainers, demonstration clips, or weekly recap messages. The session covers simple scripting techniques, recording clear audio, turning narration into animated videos using tools like Animate from Audio, and applying WSU-aligned visuals to keep your content consistent and engaging. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with two ready-to-use assets created in Adobe Express, ready to embed directly into Blackboard Ultra or your teaching materials.
ADOBE EXPRESS ESSENTIALS [ INTERMEDIATE ]
Bringing Your Data to Life
3 pm (AEDT) Thursday 2nd April
Learn how to transform complex information into clear, student-friendly visuals using Adobe Express. In this hands-on session, you’ll create infographics, progress visuals, timelines, and simple data representations that support learning and reduce cognitive load. We’ll explore layout, hierarchy, and visual cues, along with tips for keeping everything on-brand using WSU templates and styles. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with two ready-to-use teaching assets designed in Adobe Express and ready to embed directly into Blackboard Ultra or your teaching materials.
ADOBE EXPRESS SHOWCASE [ ALL LEVELS ]
Exploring Curriculum Innovation in Practice
3 pm (AEDT) Thursday 16th April
This showcase session invites WSU teaching staff to share how they’ve used Express in their curriculum and reflect on what worked for their students. We will explore examples of curriculum innovation projects, see the types of resources created in Express, and discuss student feedback, engagement, and learning outcomes. The session is designed to spark ideas, encourage peer conversation, and explore practical ways Express can support teaching across disciplines.
