Dear Bluejay Family, As we enter the Third Week of Advent, our school community continues its journey of prayerful waiting for the birth of Christ. Today, we light the third Advent candle—the pink Joy candle. Its color reminds us that even in times of difficulty, we are called to rejoice, for the celebration of Christmas is near. Advent joy is not dependent on everything being perfect; rather, it is rooted in hope and in the promise that God is with us. This coming week is also our final week of school before Christmas. As excitement builds and the semester draws to a close, we appreciate your partnership in helping students remain focused, attentive, and engaged through these last important days of learning. Together, we can help them finish the semester strong while keeping our hearts centered on the true meaning of the season. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, may the joy of Christ’s coming fill your homes with peace, comfort, and renewed hope. We wish you a blessed Third Week of Advent and a joyful preparation for the birth of our Savior. Grace & Peace, Erin B. Henry Principal

This can be found on our SCS google calendar. Pre-K and Kindergarten Teachers have reached out to their classes already. Grades 1-8 will be reaching out upon return from Christmas break.
Uniforms
It’s that time of year to check uniform fits! Please take a moment to ensure that your child’s uniform items meet our school’s dress code requirements for length and fit.
We know how quickly children grow, and we appreciate your help in keeping our students looking neat and in uniform compliance.
All students must return in January with neat, clean hair that is in full compliance with the policy. Hair must be above the ears, off the collar, not below the eyebrows, and no longer than 4 inches. Extreme styles, partial shaving, and unnatural colors are strictly prohibited.
Electronics RemindeR
Many students will be receiving electronics for Christmas. Please be reminded of the policy stated in the handbook.
- Use of cellular (cell) phones, wearable electronics (e.g. smartwatches), and tablets is not allowed on campus during school hours. Even a watch in "school mode" is a distraction in the classroom.
- Students who bring their devices to school must turn them off and place them in the designated phone box upon arriving on campus; carrying these items on their person is forbidden. All devices will be kept until the end of the school day.
