January 2024 Monthly Update better together

New year, new series - NEW GROUND

This will be a big year for Ashley Ridge Church as we break ground on our building. In January, Pastor Jenn will be doing a special series on our vision for the coming years. Start the year on purpose with us!

New-ish to Ashley Ridge?

You are invited to a meet & greet party in your honor on Sunday, January 7th following the service. A light lunch will be provided for this brief time to get to know some of the leaders in the church and for you to ask any questions you may have. See you then!

GriefShare- Beginning January 22nd

GriefShare is a 13-week support group for one of life's most difficult seasons. We all have times when we lose loved ones and the pain of grief can be overwhelming. At Ashley Ridge, we care and want you to not just manage the pain, but grow through the loss to find a deep joy. To learn more and register for the next 13-week cycle beginning January 22nd, 6:30-8:30, visit https://ashleyridgechurch.org/griefshare/

Preschoolers are learning a lot of important things. How to put away their toys. What is wrong. What is right. When to say please, thank you, and I’m sorry. But learning important things doesn’t stop after preschool. It never stops! That’s why we want to make sure preschoolers know that they have the BEST Teacher teaching them important things—the MOST important things— for the rest of their lives. And He wants to be their friend forever! Yes, it’s Jesus! So get ready to search for some CLUBHOUSE CLUES and help preschoolers discover that Jesus teaches me important things.

In Psalm 24:1, David wrote, “The earth belongs to the Lord. And so does everything in it.” (NIrV) God is the author of creation, and God has entrusted us to care for and cultivate the world we see around us. We do that by taking responsibility. From work we need to accomplish, to people we meet, to the words we use, life is filled with moments where we can decide to reflect God’s character, take responsibility, and use what we have wisely. When we follow through and do what needs to be done, we can point others to Jesus, the One who took the ultimate responsibility for us and made it possible for us to be with God forever.

arStudents - New Series

Jesus teaches us to: “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” This teaching was a solution to a culture that struggled with an immense number of anxieties that pushed into their daily lives and dominated people’s behaviors and thoughts. Does seeking the Kingdom of God first still give us the solution to the same types of problems that we face today? Join us in arStudents in the month of January as we explore what it looks like to “seek” after the Kingdom of God through all of life’s challenging circumstances, both internal and external.
