From the Hilltop December 2025

A Season of Reflection and Promise

There's a stillness that comes with winter in Meriden, yet our campus was alive and joyful this month. Between the bustling activity in the rink and on the court, the first tracks laid by our skiers, and the creative energy of our music ensembles, the season feels full of promise. Whatever brings you joy, may it be yours this season and throughout the new year.

Season's Readings

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, members of the KUA community offered up some of their favorite titles read over the past year. Find one for yourself or someone on your holiday list!

Joy and Cheer

The KUA community never misses a chance to celebrate the season. This month, more than 60 senior citizens arrived on campus to enjoy a festive lunch, served by students with a heaping side of cheer. Meanwhile, members of Penny Fellowship shopped for gifts for foster children from ages six months to 17 through the Plain Jaine Foundation. Families and alumni gathered at the Vermont Institute of Science for a snowy, magical evening; and the community raised their voices at the Vocal Ensembles Concert to round out the month. And of course, no holiday celebration is complete without the annual visit from Santa.

Cullman Scholar Guided by Service

Unsure of her future career path, Maddie '26 designed a Cullman Scholarship experience around helping others. The experience took her to the Philippines where she explored both healthcare and early-childhood education.

Wildcats Honored for Sportsmanship, Leadership

The New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) and Lakes Region League (LRL) recognized 20 varsity student-athletes for their performances this fall.
