MISSION

Saint Peter Lutheran School exists to serve as an arm of the congregation to nurture faith which began at baptism, to equip children to serve their Lord, and to reach out to the community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here at Little Lambs Preschool and Saint Peter Lutheran School, we are committed to providing a program of excellence in an environment where children are valued.

  1. God’s Word is the center of learning.
  2. Parents, teachers, and children work together to help children grow and learn.
  3. Children are valued by their Savior, by their teachers, and by one another.
  4. Age-appropriate academic rigor challenges children to grow in understanding and knowledge.
  5. Multi-age learning and activities strengthen a sense of community and belonging.
  6. A safe learning environment provides children with physical, emotional, and spiritual security.
  7. Service and leadership are integrated into a well-balanced course of study.

little lambs preschool

Little Lambs Preschool serves three, four, and five-year-old children in a developmentally-appropriate and fully-licensed preschool program. Classes are half-days with morning and afternoon sessions available. At Little Lambs Preschool, children learn through experience, movement, and play. They also learn emergent reading, writing, and math skills that prepare them for Kindergarten. Join us for Messy Mondays on the first Monday evening of the month during the school year. Preschoolers enjoy a variety of engaging activities while parents enjoy some friendly fellowship at Messy Mondays.

Saint Peter Lutheran School

Saint Peter Lutheran School incorporates a full course of study for students in math, reading, science, social studies, music, art, writing, computers, and so much more. Saint Peter Lutheran School also offers additional activities including band and piano instruction, interscholastic athletics, forensics, plays, and musicals.

Even beyond the great education that our school offers, there is one more thing that sets our school apart. As a Christian school, children learn in a Christian environment where Jesus and his Word are part of all that we do. God’s Word is taught to our students in religion classes each morning.Even more, all classes are taught in the light of our faith in Jesus. Children at Saint Peter Lutheran School receive a full elementary education; but most of all, they have the opportunity to live their faith as redeemed children of God.

Activities at Saint Peter Lutheran School

Saint Peter Lutheran School (SPLS) offers a full program of activities for children. For those who enjoy music, we provide piano and band lessons, a concert band, and Children’s Choir. Athletics are popular throughout the school year. Children enjoy soccer and cross country in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track and softball in the spring. Each year students perform in a spring musical or in plays and skits. During the winter students participate in a social studies or science fair. Students compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Service

Students at Saint Peter Lutheran School (SPLS) participate in service activities. Some of our activities include making cards for senior citizens, singing Christmas songs and carols at local nursing homes and baking cookies for our guests at Christmas. Our older students read with younger students. They also do various activities together during the school year. On Wednesdays, we have a special chapel service where we worship together. Children give mission offerings to various charitable causes. This year, they chose New Beginnings, a safe place for new mothers in need, and Academia Cristo, which helps to share the Gospel throughout Latin America. SPLS also provides a special salute to veterans in November.

Registration

We recommend interested families tour our school and prospective classroom and meet the teacher. We have an annual Open House for interested families and an Eagle for a Day opportunity for children to visit our school on a normal school day. Additionally, individual tours can be set up at any time during the year. About US

Saint Peter Lutheran School (SPLS) is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) school system. Saint Peter Lutheran Kindergarten was established in October 1994 by resolution of Saint Peter Lutheran Church in response to the Lord's command to "Feed My Lambs." (John 21:15) In the fall of 1997, the church expanded the kindergarten through third grade. In the fall of 2000, grades four to eight were added. The responsibility for programming and maintenance belongs to the congregation, and the responsibility for the supervision and direction of the school rests upon the Christian Education Committee. The Christian Education Committee carries out the desires of the congregation and makes recommendations for improvement and growth. The school is an arm of the church. The supreme head of the school is Christ, who is Head of the Church.
