UNITAC, the United Nations Innovation Technology Accelerator for Cities and KSE, the Kyiv School of Economics invite you to the conference "Liberty, Equality, Innovations. Digital Tools and Data for Ukrainian Recovery", dedicated to Ukraine's recovery through the use of digital tools and data.
Save-the-date: 19th and 20th February 2025
The event will take place simultaneously in Kyiv (19th) and Hamburg (20th) with an online broadcast for a broader audience.
The main goal of the conference is to critically examine the role of innovative digital tools and their potential application in the post-war recovery of Ukraine’s cities and communities.
The conference will bring together Ukrainian and international experts to discuss key questions about Ukraine's recovery: who shapes this process, what should be preserved or changed, and how the use of digital solutions, technical expertise, and innovations can contribute to sustainable development.
Kyiv will showcase initiatives from business, civil society, and media, alongside perspectives from urbanists and researchers. Hamburg will focus on international support and implementing best practices. The event will conclude with lectures by renowned speakers emphasizing the importance of recovery rooted in Ukrainian values, interests, and identity.
The conference results will also be published in a special issue of the academic journal City: History, Culture, Society.
