HPSS Foundation Scholarships Applications are now being accepted for the 2025-2026 school year.
HPSS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR AY 2024-2025
Patrick Bahan Scholarship: 1-$1500 scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student who meets all eligibility requirements and demonstrates a consistent record of academic excellence at TSU.
TigerFit Agnes Boyd Scholarship: 6-$500 scholarships will be awarded for the Fall 2025 semester only. In addition to meeting all requirements listed below, applicants for this scholarship must be members of TigerFit and have completed the minimum required service hours for the current academic year. Preference will be given to applicants who exceed this minimum requirement.
Scholarship Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time students registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours for the F2025 semester, have a minimum GPA of 3.2 (validated via transcript submission), be a declared major in the HPSS department, and must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at TSU (validated via transcript submission).
Application Deadline and Details: Application acceptance begins on April 1st and will continue until Friday, May 2nd. Applications must be completed along with the upload of all required supporting documents by 11:59 pm on May 2nd. Any applications submitted after this date will not be reviewed for eligibility. Please thoroughly read through the instructions below before you begin your application.
During the application process, you will be asked to submit a copy of your entire (all semesters and credits earned from TSU and all other institutions) unofficial transcript. A step-by-step tutorial on completing this process has been provided here. Please have this document ready for upload as a .pdf file before starting the application. You will also be asked to submit a 1-page Cover Letter explaining why the scholarship committee should select you as a recipient. Please have this letter constructed and ready to upload as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file before starting the application. Failure to submit files in requested file types will make an application ineligible for review.
A .pdf copy of your unofficial transcripts can be obtained in 2 ways. You can request a digital copy for free from the university, https://www.tnstate.edu/records/transcripts.aspx. Or you can obtain them on your own by logging into myTSU, navigating to student records, and selecting academic transcript. Once there right-click on the page and select the print option. In the print setup menu navigate to destination. Instead of sending the job to a printer, select save as pdf or print to pdf. This will allow you to convert your unofficial transcript into a saveable .pdf file. Save that file somewhere on your device and use this file to upload to your scholarship application.
