Teesside University provides a suite of development activities for researchers at all stages of their career, from PhD to Professor. Our training and development offer includes briefings, seminars, workshops, sandpits, as well as more intensive programmes to fast-track your research career.
The programmes takes a blended approach to learning, with a mix of independent e-learning, webinars, peer mentoring, and guided tasks. Participants will be provided with a lively and supportive learning environment that encourages them to think and reflect on their own experiences and to develop new approaches, skills, and behaviours.
All our activities support the UK Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and are aligned to Vitaeās Researcher Development Framework (RDF).
Activities cover the four domains of the Researcher Development Framework: Knowledge and Intellectual Abilities, Personal Effectiveness, Research Governance and Organisation and Engagement, Influence and Impact.
Research careers and career pathways are varied and different. While each workshop or course provides a recommended audience, feel free to select the ones most suited to your specific career development.
""At Teesside University, we wholeheartedly believe in the power of knowledge and the boundless potential of researchers. Our commitment is to empower and nurture your research career, providing you with the support and opportunities you need to thrive"~
