Outdoor Learning
The children will have access to our outdoor learning environment everyday and in all weathers! Please make sure they bring a coat to school everyday and have a pair of wellingtons that stay at school.
The children will be developing language and communication as well as learning to work as a team, taking turns and negotiating plans using the outdoor resources. We will be using not only our outdoor area but schools’ extensive grounds including the wilderness area.
How you can support at home
Sharing stories daily, practicing letter formation, singing number songs/nursery rhymes and counting. Using the flashcards in your child’s reading pack to learn the sounds. Using the red word flash cards to help your child learn the words by sight. Writing in your child’s reading record each time they read their guided reading book at home. We can’t wait to give out more certificates for 50 reads at home and hopefully 100 read certificates.
Thank you for your continued support
