Principal Message
In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, we are delighted to be welcoming back the talented performers from the Mattierin School of Irish Dance here on Monday morning. We are so excited to see their vibrant display of Irish culture, dance, and song and know it will add a wonderful touch of celebration to our school community.
Additionally, I want to remind you that our Thursday and Friday timetables will be switched next week. This means that Friday will be early dismissal at 12:10PM, marking the beginning of our well-deserved Spring Break. It's a perfect time for our students to recharge, spend quality time with family, and return refreshed for the final stretch of the academic year.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. McNamee and I will remain as the Admin Team for St. Paul next year. We feel truly blessed to continue serving the St. Paul community for another school year.
As we continue our journey through Lent, it's like going on an adventure where we learn about kindness, forgiveness, and love. Just like how springtime brings new flowers, Lent brings us a chance to grow closer to God and each other.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Carr-Jeschke & Mrs. McNamee
Student Pick Ups/Drop Offs
When dropping off/picking up students, please use the designated drop off zones. These are 96 Ave (in front of the school) and 145 Street (the west side of the school).
Please DO NOT use the staff parking lot for student drop offs or pick ups. There are a lot of blind spots and staff vehicles, along with Division vehicles, coming in and out of the lot. This creates a very unsafe environment for students to be walking through.
Please choose safety over convenience and use marked cross walks and drop off zones to ensure students arrive safely to and from school.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Anti-Racism Presentations
This afternoon, we welcomed one of our Division Consultants with the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism team, Fitzroy Ford, who gave presentations to Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6.
Fitzroy shared a presentation with our Grade 1-3 students, explaining what EDIAR is and emphasizing how God has made each of us unique. He encouraged the students to respect and celebrate one another.
For our Grade 4-6 students, Fitzroy focused on EDIAR initiatives, the significance of our individual identities, and the importance of standing up against harmful words and racism and discrimination. He also discussed how we can work to correct past mistakes.
